Ross Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Why would you ever want multiple 2k's anyways...I haven't seen a good combo with them. Unless we're just talking about 2k 2k 2d instead of 2k 2d lol. Also, what you can do after BBU in a combo is distance-dependent, but on every character, you can do something like...2k->2hs, BBU, 2d, 5k/5p/5s (sometimes you have to do 2 5ks or 2 5ps or 5s, 5s), jk j2k jk jc jk j2k jd. And if the height ends up weird for some characters it may not work, but this is the basic combo. actually I've found as long as you walk foward a step before hs, you can do the HS iad dust combos on basically everyone from any range a BBU connects
Arvandor Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 You can... That's why I've been doing it, reliability while I learn AC Slayer =P So wait, on the 5HS PB relaunch stuff, I want to hit them on their way DOWN from the bounce rather than on their way up? Or... did I misunderstand something in your explanation of height and techtime with 5HS. I was able to hit Sol on the way up once or twice, but 95% of the time PB would wiff right underneath him. It'd be nice to get the PB combos down, as PB has always been one of my favorite moves, and being able to loop it a little in #R and / made me very happy ^_^
CrimsonDisaster Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Doesn't matter if they're on the way up or on the way down as long as they're where Pilebunker will hit when it comes out ;(
Zaido Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 it doesn't matter if they going up or down, its the matter of where they are when you hit 5H... and how long they will stay in untechable state.. and the higher you are, the higher they seem to be able to tech.. but in some special cases, certain character with tall hit box you can still hit them no matter what :V... with that AD jD thing, i believe there are 3 characters that it wouldn't be wise to even attempt it on...
CrimsonDisaster Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 On Johnny, best I've found is: 6K, K > 6P FRC H JC [j2K, K], land, H XX 214P > P, 2P > P JC [jD] (213) You can do the same followup off 2D RC, again. Easier, less damaging, still knockdown version off 2D RC: 2D RC, H JC [j2K, K], land, H XX 214P > S, P JC [jK JC djD] (204) I suck. 2D RC H JC [jH, K], land, 2S JC [jK > 2K, jK JC djK > 2K, D > 2K, K], land, P JC [jD] (227) Which is whopping TWO more points of damage than if you just did jD after the last j2K. Your call if you want to risk messing up ;(
Arvandor Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 What characters does the 5HS hjc j.HS j.2K j.D j.2K j.K relaunch combo work on? I should mess with Pilebunker combos on other characters... It's really easy to do on Pot, but I still can't hit Sol with it at all. I've just given up on trying to PB Sol, and go for the generic j.K j.2K j.K V 2S j.K j.2K j.K jc j.K j.2K j.D j.2K j.D

CrimsonDisaster Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I didn't even bother going for it in matches till I got the console version... now I hit most of this stuff in matches, though it's usually easier/more stable versions 'cuz it's hard to remember so many combos for so many characters right now.
rtl42 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 how do you do "negative edge" j.H from DOT FRC? like, stuff from Nana combo vids and w/e. no matter how quickly i try to push H after the FRC, i can't get it to come out fast enough to connect. am i not doing it quick enough, still? or is there a trick to it that i'm not getting? bah, i'm an idiot. i tried it the other night and got it within three tries. now i'm getting it 40% of the time. it's like someone else said, you do the FRC with PKS, then hit H and time it so that it comes out right away. (sorta like doing a stagger IK charge, with H going last.) It feels like a one or two frame link, what with Slayer falling so quickly and j.H coming out so slowly. Amazing damage, though.
Boss Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 just a lil somethin i figured out last night messin around in trainin mode. damage is ok but it looks pretty damn cool:cool: crosswise heel, RC, j.D, j.2k, j.k, 5H, PB or some random air combo
Shazay Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 just a lil somethin i figured out last night messin around in trainin mode. damage is ok but it looks pretty damn cool:cool: crosswise heel, RC, j.D, j.2k, j.k, 5H, PB or some random air combo You don't have to RC to make that combo work~
Boss Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 .. perhaps but without the RC the opponent can tech:v:
Zaido Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 why don't you guys just do CWH->(5S/5K/5P/5Hdependingcharacter specific, if you start with this you do a different combo starter)jK->j2K->jK->djK->djD-dj2kxxdjK->Land 5H-> watever you want?
Shazay Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 .. perhaps but without the RC the opponent can tech:v: I meant you could do crosswise~j.k~j.d~j.2k~whatever.
MacArthur Blunts Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 American Slayer needs more SJC combos.
Yonasu Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 American Slayer needs more FB PB loops! Ps. On baiken (probably more characters too, too lazy to try it out): 2D RC 5HS FB PB 5HS FB PB 5HS PB/ or K mappa 5P j.k j.2k j.D ~365dmg
CrimsonDisaster Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Speaking of combos on Baiken: corner, crouch- 6K, K > 6P FRC H XX 236K, c.S JC [jK > 2K, K JC dj2K, D > 2K, D] - ~255 Since I'm trying to keep tension use low on the corner mixup (so you can potentially do 2 mixups and kill instead of 1 huge combo and then 2 more mixups to kill), the low variation I'm trying to improve is: 2H, P JC [jD XX 214214S], land, H SJC [sjH, D > 2K, D] - ~275
Villainous Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 vs. Chipp I found 2D RC 5H JC j.H j.K JC J.K j.D j.2K j.K xx 5P "the rest" or)...............................................xx 5H PB
eien_tsubasa XD Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 the combo i use is 2H, 5K, jK j2K jk,d.jk... but that's on characters with decent weight like Axl.
Arvandor Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 What do I do for air combos on really light floaters like I-No and Jam? I was trying to do j.K j.2K j.K jc dj.2K dj.D dj.2K etc, but even THAT leaves them too high towards the end =/
Villainous Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Lately I've been really lazy with the floaters and I've been using the air super if they're too high to get a knock down if I can't any other way. I've had to do it a lot vs Ino. Waste of meter but atleast you get some extra damage and occasionally a 2 hitter. I still hate bridgett the most though, fucker is so hard to combo.
Zaido Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 I went over this before... jK->j2k->jK->djK->jD->dj2KxxdjK->Land->c.5S->jD sometimes jK->djK->djD-> blah blah
MacArthur Blunts Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 For some reason I find Sol is the hardest to do combos on. Bridget is easy.
Arvandor Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I can do air combos on Sol just fine, but I can't do HS xx PB on him to save my life. Jam and Po-Chop are easy enough... I should see if any others in the cast give me problems with that particular finisher.
