Reyvin Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 According to PozerWolf, A and B DP no longer hit crouching opponents. He wrote up a Jin rundown in the CS gameplay discussion, page 9.
PozerWolf Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Ice Arrow is very useful for extra damage considering that all supers have a base damage in every combo no matter what. Two in a row for game might happen a lot. EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JkU8BlE98k At 1:31, Fubuki A missed crouching Tsubaki at close range. Did it always do that? With Super, you can actually get up to 4.6K damage (maybe more) because of the way scaling works now. However, linking in 2 supers is a huge no no. If you do the Ice Arrow Super twice, you won't do shit for damage, trust me (this goes for any super, really). And yeah, thanks for the notice Reyvin. I posted on some of Jin's changes and I did note about the uppercuts no longer hitting crouching opponents. Sucks to hear, but whatever.
ichabod Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Just when I thought Jin had become boring to watch, we get to see buppa ^^ @PozerWolf Is 6B really 0 on block? Both kaqn and (especially) buppa seem to rely much on 6B in strings, sometimes even do two in a row.

Both kaqn and (especially) buppa seem to rely much on 6B in strings, sometimes even do two in a row. The frame data says it's 0 on block (well for CT it did), and it still feels that way. However, you have to understand that a move like has always be rather good. As long as Jin's 5B is the way it is, people will be afraid to stick something out. Not to mention you can special cancel the move even on the ground. At the proper distances, it can beat out Tsubaki's uppercut up close... shit looks so silly.

Thanks for the input, I was just so curious because it's a move i see very rarely in vids or online. If they have not changed it, might the reason for the wider use be that Jin lost some of his older "tricks" for putting on pressure? And I see what you mean with people being cautious after 6B, but how come someone like Ragna dont just use 2A which beats Jins or straight up infernal divider (which punishes 6B even if canceled into j.236D or ice car i think?)?
Apollo Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 because 5b block is also a mind game :P its the reason you see so many top jin players end a block string in 5b 5c jumpback barrier. i guarantee if you bait inferno once the next time you land a 5b youve got a big advantage
smooshman Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I haven't seen the J236C jump/dash trick does someone have a link to it EDIT: these Bang and Litchi versus Jin vids hurt my soul
blueyesdevil Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXF-WIsUnWo Ren(Jin) vs Puu(Tager) [Did this come from Ren's Xbox 360?] It looks like against Tager, we need to make sure we bait those 2Cs even more so due to it having FC properties. Our own 2C might be useful for Tager's air approaches, but it is still risky. Also, zoning with j.C might be our best option due to the fact that Tager has quicker and more effective normals. I think I might hate this matchup, because of Gadget Finger, we are in a pure mindgame. Watching tager as he is now makes me scared. I already have a though time against good tagers. And about the xbox 360 thing, the game is still arcade only .

And about the xbox 360 thing, the game is still arcade only . Lmao. I was wondering if he was playing the video on his 360, like if it were recorded off of something. It looked like the same video interface you use to play vids on it. Edit Here are my observations from the latest vids. Getting a throw break while airborne against Ragna and doing j.C will beat Ragna's AD j.C. Also, overall it seems that Dennou tries to throw opponents in the air a lot to reset pressure on break. Actually, I see many people putting throws in a lot more than before. It doesn't work too well for Dennou on the ground however. :8/: He also tried j.236A into j.236D in one jump, catching Kaqn off guard. The standard knockdown combo on standing has been changed from 5B-5C-3C to 5B-2B-5C-3C. Near corner: FC 2C-6C-DC-5C-2C-sj.B-j.C-JC-j.2C-j.D-214D-6C-6D-Ice Arrow-6A-623A Does 4785 Damage and costs 75% heat. In corner: FC 2C-6C-(Delay)623B-6C-6D-6C-6D-623D-6C-Ice Arrow Super Does 5302 damage. Costs 75% heat. Hurray for damage.

Moy_X7 Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Near corner: FC 2C-6C-DC-5C-2C-sj.B-j.C-JC-j.2C-j.D-214D-6C-6D-Ice Arrow-6A-623A Does 4785 Damage and costs 75% heat. What the... wouldn't 6A knock the opponent to the ground, that which would cause 623A to miss? That's also a lot of Heat to be spent for a mere 4.7K damage. I wonder how much damage one can get out of 623D > 6C > 6D > 5C > sJC > j.2C > 214D > 2C > 623B > 623A (near the corner). It was 6.5K in CT, I would randomly estimate that it would do about 4K in CS
Jourdal Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 Moi i've seen a few CS jins doing the Ice Arrow 6A>623A, the 6a doesn't knock them down.
Moy_X7 Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Lol, does the Ice Arrow keep them in place? I haven't been keeping up with the plethora of CS videos, so I haven't seen this in action. If they're doing that, wouldn't it be better to use 6D > 623A after the Ice Arrow?
PozerWolf Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 What are you guys talking about, of course 6A knocks down when they are hit from the air with it! But before the opponent can hit the ground you can cancel 6A into 623A and it will combo. It's pointless to do unless the opponent is about to die, but even then you have better options (like 623A into 623B during the arrow super. This will work if you do the first 623A really early).
lxMetalSonicxl Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7vZ8cjPa04#t=6m20s I put the time in this vid to skip straight to the match. Anyways, at the end of the second round, did Ren just use 5B as a meaty?

severin Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9224241 I was rather impressed with this Jin (okay, in the first game at least). Jes' sayin'.
BANGER Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I miss that pressuring ability, but that was a Tager, and Tager's are butt-easy to pressure He uses tons of jA and 5A for a Jin though, which was interesting. I wonder of Jin gameplay will evolve from jC fishing and something more pressure oriented. If it has, then I gotta catch up on watching them vids.

You should check out the few Buppa videos that are out there, still as fun to watch as ever, just wish there were more footage of him playing, don't know why there are so few - maybe he's taking a break or someting Btw in the latest videos posted in the general forum, there is a match between a jin and litchi (http://d.hatena.ne.jp/video/niconico/sm9242733), and it says it is Nisepatchi, but all videos of him so far have had him in white/blue colours and this one uses purple. Anyone who knows?
stunedge Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9224241 I was rather impressed with this Jin (okay, in the first game at least). Jes' sayin'. oops, that was me getting raped by Hazama this was 3rd time I played CS, so sorry for not doing many CS tricks
jinkisaragisan Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 here is some good video of buppa http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC2JRAyROS4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhJpvu7dj3o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12_jmt5YTEI
Agent P Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 here is some good video of buppa http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC2JRAyROS4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhJpvu7dj3o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12_jmt5YTEI ookay, now this is the first CS-Jin of which I can say that I Iike what I saw; not as imposing as CT-Jin but the playstyle looks quite fun. Maybe there's still hopes for me to continue using Jin in CS, I really hope so.
jinkisaragisan Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I could not find anymore video that Buppa play as Jin in CS
lxMetalSonicxl Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 oops, that was me getting raped by Hazama this was 3rd time I played CS, so sorry for not doing many CS tricks How do you feel about the new Jin so far? Do you think he is better or worse? Also, the Buppa vids are already in the first post. Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVP6iNKESY0#t=3m44s Very…..um..interesting Jin. Also, Hakumen seems to kill Jin in two combos, and Jin kills him in about 4 or 5.
stunedge Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Jin is alright, he has got enough stuff to win a match. He is just not a right character for move spammers and mashers anymore. personal opnion: 4:6 Litchi Bang 4.5:5.5 Ragna 6:4 Tsubaki Noel 6.5:3.5 Rachel 5:5 Other Not sure: Hazama BAN-BAN-BANBAN-BANGGGGGGG!!!!
