DJ Koopa Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Well, this guy was pulling 30+ red beat combos on the room on a regular basis, he'd get me in the corner, wind every time I even thought about teching, and then just randomize the lobelias and 6Bs, which made it pretty hard to IB anything, and if he wasn't using slipheed to push himself towards me again from block pushback, he'd reset the gap in frames with a (by then) triple-rod Sword Iris so I'd still be block stunned while going back into the lobelias and 6Bs. Didn't even try to combo with it should I get countered trying to break through with a 5A or 5B or 4D either. T'was even more frustrating that he was just out of reach for the unmag 360A..

None of those things are super fast, or overheads, or lows, or break guard primer. Just block and watch. Don't throw stuff out and give her free damage when she's too far away to get hit. Let her use up wind and IB to get meter. I suppose you could barrier sometimes too to get her further away. Sword iris has a lot of start up, depending on the size of the gaps you keep running into you could sledge the lobelia or the lightning, you could possibly backdash the 6B to put her at frame disadvantage. The situation changes the farther out she pushes herself too. I honestly think you're just getting trolled. If you can't think of anything else just block until you have meter so that they are no longer safe at just outside 360A range. Seriously, just block. There's no danger to you until she starts mixing you up, which would requires her to get into your range. Rachel has low health and we have rachel only combos that are easier and do a lot of damage.
Mike Z Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Additionally, if he has you in the corner and is randomizing Lobelia and 6B, you can just BSledge every one of them until you get it vs. a Lobelia. 6B CH sucks too much for you to be scared of it.
