Hey guys. I quickly through together a vid of 2 of arakunes loops for people who are having trouble finding them. Bear in mind my execution is really bad and i missed a few extra damage opitunities but anyways.

(Dont ask about why the lifebar isnt moving i couldnt tell you anyways >.>)

Uh, I didn't see any A bugs in there, am I blind?

no it's in there, you can't see it because the screen is kinda dragged up when your diving.. it hits around the same time C bug does..

we had this talk already when that instant kill round on jin vid came out

Notice how on the C dive's the combo counter goes up by 3, ie dive + A bug + C bug. Except on my missed dive ofc haha :psyduck:.

I've noticed lately that the JP wiki split the combo pages into two. One regular BNB one without the dive cancel/triple IAD combos and one advanced combo one with everything.

Might not make a difference but it might once the console release hits. We should split the combo thread into two. One BNB/regular combos and one for advanced combo discussion.

Matt doesn't even come around here anymore.

You should talk with Dabbit about making a new thread.

I told kousaka that. I think I've just lost interest in CS. Blazblue looks like it needs one more iteration before it can truly be a good game.

Also, I guess I will update the thread tonight since I ain't got nothing to do today except play Jojo's, hw and peruse Dustloop.

Lol, it's better than CT, and I've seen you playing that. ;)

It's good, but I agree. One more. 3rd time's the charm.

Now, I love me some Jojo's (used to be tournament caliber), but you forfeit your right to crap on Blazblue if you play that. Ora ora ora!

Well these things takes patience.

I mean just look at how many times it took for them to get GG right.

But but Jojo's is teh awesomeness. Aside from horrible balance, the game has some really solid character design (gameplay-wise) and mechanics. Also, I bet you played Old Joseph. OVADRIVE!

I have updated the first post a little bit. If anyone feels that something is missing, just let me know.

Talk with kou, he's the main resource of kune combos and ideas. Also that he's the most active kune player who plays CS.

yeah matt's already spoken with me

imo right now combo wise things have already reached it's potential and there's not much to discover

anything new you see now are resets, setups, and mixups which is what i've been focusing on lately

there are a lot of advanced combos but really imo they're not worth.. in particular the j4c canceled combos with 2 iad's or controlling the number of hits in beam super

okay time to study hima today

hima mid screen jC crossup setups:

3aa(release 1d bug) > hjC (crosses up) > j2c > 5c bug hits > 1d bug hits > 1d bug up part > loops

notes:

You can go invisible before starting this mixup.

You can go straight into ender with 5d>beam super.

tested on a bunch of a characters, lots of vid examples

I'm not 100% sure. Dennou was the only one to block the jC but the D bug right after might also be a 2nd crossup right after. If you count the number of times jin changes sides. Needs confirmation when someone manages to block it all.

I like the invisible part, it makes it hard to give out visual cues on whether to block high or low.

Combine that with a teleport or two, and Arakune's mixup game in curse is substantially better.

As for the mix up here, I don't think the D bug would have crossed up if Dennou kept blocking in the same direction. It's a bit of a fuzzy cross up, where it's hard to know which way to block.

It could also be the j2c that messed him up. He blocked the jc, but the c bug definitely hit him. Plus he was facing the right when he got hit, chances are the dive messed his blocking up.

Thats one very good mixup, I was wondering what the notation was, thanks Kou.

That match against Ragna has to be one of my favorite Hima matches.

EDIT: regarding Dennou, I'd second Skye in saying that the j2C messed him up, since that combo crosses up TWICE.

I added it to the second post. From now on, the second post will be for mixups, first for combos and the third is to be determined. Also, I accredited you in the first post.

Can you please update first post with character specific dive loops?

:3

If you or anyone else tell me what they are, I'll add them.

hmm yeah i used hima's jC setup today all night long.. for the most part people can't seem to block it even when they see it coming.. they'll manage to block the jC but still eat C bug for some reason. Characters tested on tonight tsubaki, noel, litchi, ragna, lambda, tager, taokaka, bang

I had some issues with tager though, gotta test more but i did a jC which managed to whiff one time and the other time tager did a 360b and evaded everything somehow.

It's better them the 6a(5cd)>jC setups imo though because sometimes they tend to get hit by the 6a which prorates the combo anyway. going from 3aa>hjC always seems to guarantee a reset. Even when the combo started from C bug it still did pretty hefty damage.

Occasionally you may get a 2D when pressing 1d bug since 2aa>2d is a gatling if your timing is alittle off. I played around with using 4d bug release instead which helped a bit. Make sure your hjC crosses over. If you don't the D bug tends to whiff.

I had heard the Kou went through them all.

So wherever that is, just put it in the first post?

Any help, Kousaka?

(character specific dive loops.)
