That was a good episode! :yaaay: And that was a LOT of fan art they showed. I think I might understand 20% of what they are saying now, I still need more practice though. :psyduck: The art part where they had to draw something next to that pic of Litchi was interesting. That rocker guy talking to Litchi was pretty funny. Litchi had those "fear" lines under her eyes. Also, there was lots of funny drawings through out the show as usual. Also, what is "bakotsu", at least, I think thats what they said, "suboku" or something, I can't believe I can't remember, it was right before they started talking about Blazblue attacks in game. Anyways, this was an awesome episode. :yaaay: Learning japanese is tough.

Having watched it, i'm going to take a guess at the info regarding his bar, and someone can correct me with a real translation, since i'm just guessing at it:

- He can hold it to maintain Wehrwolf form, but it drains his gauge

- The lower the Wehrwolf gauge, the lower the damage of the attacks using it

- When the Wehrwolf gauge is empty, he can't use Drive attacks, or any of his supers, until it regenerates

The comparison to johnny and slayer is reference to valk's "veteran" accent.

His drive works by pressing (not holding) the D button to switch forms.

Wolf form: less reach and less attack power, but moves faster

Human form: more reach and attack, less speed.

It looks like attacking in wolf form drains the gauge. Just being in wolf form doesn't do anything to it.

I did say I was guessing. I do wonder if he can still use the supers in wolf form or are they specific to human Valkenhayn.

Sounds like he can mix in-fighting (Makoto) and out-fighting (Noel/Lambda/Mu etc). Did it say anything regarding a change in Damage if Wehrwolf is used (proration-wise for combos)? Cuz it sounds like to me he uses Wolf for rushdown, and Normal for zoning.

I don't know about him zoning. Having better reach and more damage just gives you room to make some strong combos, but he doesn't seem like the keep-away type at all, he seems like he wants to be on you at all times, just, at about mid range.

Well I don't mean Zoning in the extreme, but something on par with, say...Rugal's reach or something.

That aside, they were mentioning something about Tsubaki and Throw issues...what was that about?

Ahh, that I could understand

As for throwing issues, I dunno, I think I remember hearing something about her throw not working on certain characters, maybe the same with Valkenhayn?

I think they named his Drive as Beowulf.

The start of that 4k combo looked like it could be an anti-air and wouldn't surprise me if it was a 2B/C input.

There was an interesting 2 hit normal that causes suction much like Jin's 5B. I can see it being an aggressive tool and potentially give him frame trap capabilities but we don't know the frame advantage/disadvantage on block and on top of that it has slow start up.

A lot of his normals remind me of Bang's. What I'm assuming is his j.B has about the same (maybe slightly less) horizontal range range as Bang's j.B and his j.C or j.2C/B has a angled downward arc to it much like Bang's j.C. Overall, his normals in human form have really nice reach probably more range then Bang on the ground and probably about the same range as Bang in the air. If he has good hit confirm combos off of those pokes he could have a really nice aggressive poke game making him good at mid-to-close range.

It looks like he can cancel a Wolf Charge into a Human Transformation but it eats up a lot of the Wolf Gauge. It has obious application to his combo mechanics but I could see this being useful in his offensive game. Depending on his up close game is he could do some fake outs with it like doing an upwards wolf charge cancel into human transformation just slightly in front of your opponent then go for j.B/j.C overhead, stop short go low, cross overs, etc... Kind of like a mix between Tao's drive shennanigans or Bang's bumper mix ups but not as fast. I'm hoping his Wolf Form has the ability to get in on people quickly otherwise zoning characters like Lambda or people with generally better range pokes like Litchi could give him a hard time.

Really want to see what his special moves are like to get a better idea at the overall tool set that he has.
