RinHara5aki Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Rin, I recommend labeling your videos a bit better. If possible something like: SVGL 2v2 3/13 Tournament: James/Dacidbro vs Coopa/Chris Part1. Being as specific as possible would probably be best. Oh yeah, this might help you label videos too. Thanks for the winners post, but all that info is in the side bar... 3: putting that as the title of the vid often makes it looks like there's a paragraph above the video.. I just noticed Rin is like one of the only people who spells my name right lol. Though its clearly in my name lol. Ie instead of y is no good lol. Cats know how to spell. ..... Really...? Yes.. Really. >:3
Spirit Juice Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Thanks for the winners post, but all that info is in the side bar... 3: putting that as the title of the vid often makes it looks like there's a paragraph above the video.. It's better than the current format. The current format makes it look like just random casual videos that you have on your YT channel. It's usually better to label them more accurately if possible if they're casual or tournament videos. People are likely to watch tournament videos than casual videos anyways. It's also easier to pick out which videos you want to watch without having to click on them most of the time, an example being if someone wanted to watch a particular set first (like Loser's finals before something else).
RinHara5aki Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Give me an example of how you would put it. Like~ Title: Info bar: I'm more of a visual learner :/.. couldn't I also make playlists too? Or is that defeating this purpose.
Whiteboywilly Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I think he's saying put it in the title so people can see it.
OrionXElite Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I'd have to assume a good example for the titles would be as so: Title: SVGL BBCS Doubles 3/13 Grand Finals OrionXElite(TG) vs. Ryan(/\) or something close to that. You could probably get away with leaving the date out and putting that in the info bar just to shorten it that little bit.
RinHara5aki Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Hmm.. :/, I guess I could. Whats the general consensus here? Keep the old format that I have right now? "CAB: OrionXElite (TG) vs. Ryan(/\)" or "SVGL BBCS Doubles: Grand Finals OrionXElite (TG) vs. Ryan (/\)" btw, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOZ4gq3fh1s. 2:19 I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
Dacidbro Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I vote new, making sure people know which match of the tournament it is is hype
Whiteboywilly Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I like how scott just straight up says I don't know how to combo very well lol. Which is mostly true.
Chun Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Thanks for all the work so far Rin; I'm enjoying the side comments and the commentary track with everything; just makes things overall epic. Can't wait to hear the commentary from my matches, lol. I just noticed now I haven't posted since last Saturday, but GGs all around, and good luck to everyone in the singles at the end of this month; the hype is strong with this scene. A few shoutouts: Dacid: Come more often. You need to have more Kokushi Musou in your diet. It's part of a balanced bang-breakfast. Goryus: Great partnering up with you for once instead of fighting you; HANDS OFF THE PANDA CopperDabbit: AH GOD THE BEES. The astral will have to wait till next rebel, rival. 2GB & Ginseng: GO TEAM B.F.F. Coopa: You're starting to catch on to my tricks; it was great hanging with you on Monday too. SCIENCE! Orion: More confidence! MORE BOOYA! More epic matches. Fun times, and great playing you Monday as well. S. Juice: Thanks for coming down again. The scene needs more juice commentary! P.S. Mics exist in every Chinese household. Karaoke is a staple of Chinese life. So if you need one next time I might be able to provide it. ~Chun
Dacidbro Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 P.S. Mics exist in every Chinese household. Karaoke is a staple of Chinese life. So if you need one next time I might be able to provide it. ~Chun LMAO PS, to remind you, your astral was awesome
Spirit Juice Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Use "2v2" instead of "Double" because it takes less characters. Leaving the date in is important, IMO, cus if there is going to be future 2v2 tournament videos, it'll be easier to identify which tournament is which. Like I said earlier, a good example would be... Title: 3/13 SVGL BBCS 2v2 Grand Finals James/Dacidbro vs Jared/Ryan Part1 Info: Team James/Dacidbro vs Team Jared/Ryan OrionXElite (James - TG) vs Ryan (LA) Grand Finals James/Dacidbro in Loser's whatever other info you want to add I like how scott just straight up says I don't know how to combo very well lol. Which is mostly true. lol~ I keeps it real, yo. Don't worry, everyone gets equal treatment, even myself. On a related note, I may be in the San Jose area on Friday. Not sure what time I'll be arriving and leaving. If anyone is interested in meeting up at SVGL for some games, let me know. Or if possible, maybe Derek can host something at his place again?
Dacidbro Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Oh, and Chun, I'll pick up some Kukoshi Musou when Rin takes me to Panda Express, I hear it's pretty good stuff ^_^ PS, "He kissed me!" was probably one of my favorite moments of the whole tournament

When I head down there next with Scott, you NEED to be there. It would be a lot easier for me :3 Also... *Chun astral* "F'CKIN CHINA!!!" XDDD Use "2v2" instead of "Double" because it takes less characters. There's been a lot of matches, so I have to re type every one, one by one.. :/ btw knowing Derek, I highly doubt he'll host something that fast without a heads up...
Chun Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Oh, and Chun, I'll pick up some Kukoshi Musou when Rin takes me to Panda Express, I hear it's pretty good stuff ^_^ HANDS OFF THE PANDA! Do something better with your money! PS, "He kissed me!" was probably one of my favorite moments of the whole tournament It was surprising to say the least; France does it, some parts of Canada do it, that's it. Also, seriously need to see my match against your Bang, it was a good fight; besides that match I only had the 10 or so however long ago. Norcal Lacks Bang. :D Is it a USB mic? When I head down there next with Scott, you NEED to be there. It would be a lot easier for me :3 Hmm, well it's one of those old-timey mikes that plug into a microphone jack; I'll test it this weekend and see if it'll serve any better than the headset. Either way I'm meeting with some out of town people for spring break on the next singles so I won't be able to get it to you. Also... *Chun astral* "F'CKIN CHINA!!!" XDDD わくわく、わくわく On another note, I noticed Gin-- the other half of Team B.F.F. and Theo is a private video, dunno if you intended it to be that way. ~Chun

I have a mic jack. If possible.. can I buy it from you? If its good quality? btw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-e3GpTVRHIc... YouTube is being an asshole
Chun Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 ..."わく"とは何ですか?パックマンのようにww.. ははは、そうね。でも違います。”わくわく”は音です。英語で、"Anticipation, Excitement" の意味です。 I have a mic jack. If possible.. can I buy it from you? If its good quality? Belongs to my parents so unsure about that, hahaha. ~Chun
OrionXElite Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Orion: More confidence! MORE BOOYA! More epic matches. Fun times, and great playing you Monday as well. ~Chun More confidence?! MORE BOOYA?! How does one add more BOOYA without seeming like an egotistical jackass? Of course I suppose from now on, I could just yell BOOYA every time I 360 you...What would I yell at you for a 720 though? As for the confidence issue, once I'm better acquainted with everyone there, you'll start to see me become more and more loud and annoying...remember, anxiety is a bitch. Wish I could work around it faster but I'm getting there trust me.

Wish I could work around it faster but I'm getting there trust me. It's ok because I can just get you back with Kokushi! AWESOME. Seriously though, glad you're here along with Coopa. We don't have much Tager otherwise. Also: Hope I didn't offend you or anything.
OrionXElite Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Nah its difficult to offend me. I just have to get used to not knowing 90% of everyone's inside jokes...it sucks being the new scrub in the arcade. Also I've seen a lot of Tagers at SVGL. I think we have Tagers more than anything else with Hakumen and Noel being a close second.
OrionXElite Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Really? I mean there are always more at ranbats but just at SVGL on like a wednesday, its usually just Goryus and maybe one other. I remember one wednesday, there were 7 Tager players including me. It was just Tager mirrors the whole day.
qwerty Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 i don't play outside of tournaments, lol all i know is that there's a ton of lambdas at tournaments now that i didn't see playing nu in ct
Chun Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 qwerty, you need to pull off the second half of this video in the next tournament. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwuq5ydU_gY

I remember one wednesday, there were 7 Tager players including me. It was just Tager mirrors the whole day. There's also this one occasional player that trolls everyone. Oh wait, that's me.
corallein Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 On another note, I noticed Gin-- the other half of Team B.F.F. and Theo is a private video, dunno if you intended it to be that way. ~Chun I have no problem with that! Watching my match with Vineeth was painful. So many dropped combos I need more practice. I was also surprised that Aginor didn't know you can hit Bang out of 2D and 5D's guardpoint by switching to lows. I'll probably regret telling him that...
