The reason why it is a two day event is because of casuals and people can have there own tourney but please don't let it interfere with the main tourneys. If you want to make a thread in any other forum please just let me know before you do. When players start signing up for the tourneys please tell or type in all your information at the front desk of Battlegrounds. An example would be if you wanted your character next to your name in the results then you would put your name then a dash and right next to it the character. The tourney organizers are not going to be responsible for any information you didn't tell us at the front desk. Once everybody is all set with telling us their information we will then seed it accordingly. I will update with more info once I have more time so please bear with me. Wow I think this is the first multi day tourney in New England since TGA's SBO qualifiers, count me in! I'll bring a setup for GGAC and SF4. Also I suggest pushing the Friday tournaments back a bit for people that have to work Friday afternoon then travel 2 plus hours to get to this.

Well, it's going to be a all nighter so there should be plenty of time. I am hoping to make the tourney like this everytime so I hope it works out for everybody.

ACT's died?

If I recall right they're looking for a new venue, other than that it's on hold for now

ACT's died?

I doubt it. You should try asking Otakuchin, if you want to know what's up

We're not replacing ACT by any means. We usually run tournaments at Digital Mayhem but they're closed so we're running shit here with different games. Also, thanks for the setups guys! For Friday, 5 o'clock is when they start fight nights. Does anybody have any objections for Melty and Guilty starting at 8PM?

Certainly not, sir. I've already spoken with Chin about it, and he's planning to get it going again soon, probably at BG as well.

That's no problem for me.

Well, this is a coincidence. I wouldn't expect anyone to remember (since the thread was apparently trimmed because of inactivity), but the tandem of nerd clubs at UConn are supposedly offering essentially the same tournaments at UCon@UConn. This happens to take place February 5th-7th, which overlaps with this tournament's schedule. [Vierge Hijack!] This was actually a surprise to me! Since Uconn is literally, like, 15 miles away and (ideally) hosting the same tournaments as well. Would people prefer to have tournaments earlier in the day at Uconn (if they were to go, of course) So you could ride up there and be back in time for Battlegrounds tournaments, or have 'mirrored' tournaments. I.e, since Street Fighter IV is on Saturday, we host it on Friday. I'd still have to talk with the head hancho in charge of Ucon@Uconn, But I'd really like to work something out to best suit the player's interest.

Oh snap I totally forgot about UCon@UCon:vbang: Maybe it would be best to change the date for battle grounds if that's possible? If they end up on the same weekend I think mirrored tourneys would be best for people that have to work Friday morning/afternoon

I will look on the other fourms and see if changing the date would be an issue. Kona and Fraga check your sites and let me know if the week after would be a problem for you guys. Mindgame, since they are having this tourney on the same weekend would you mind passing out flyers for BG fight nights at Ucon?

I changed the date and it will be feb 12th and 13th so please update the other sites and there has been a change in the venue fee so please let everybody know when you guys update the site.

Here I was expecting that this would become some huge ordeal. Vigilante and Kona, thanks for being so flexible with the date, since we cannot reschedule the weekend of the convention with the University at all. You guys are awesome. I will pick up some flyers the next time I go to BG and distribute them at the University as soon as the Spring semester starts in mid-January.

No problem. Plus, now that we've been reminded, I'd love to make it out to Ucon@Uconn. I wanna say I'm subscribed to the thread but would you guys mind posting a link to it?

I will hopefully be up for a tourney at that point. Count me in.

Good shit, Tales. You better be leveling up that A.B.A.!

The date was changed to the 12th and 13th of February, should update that. Melty Bread is updated with it and so is SRK

Does anybody know why the title of the thread doesn't update when someone updates it. I don't know if anybody noticed but the dates in the thread have been changed but when you look on the tourney thread section it says the old dates. Does anybody know why this happens?

Oh yeah, Kona, you want me to bring any setups? I've got AC+ and I'll have MBAA tomorrow.

If you can bring a PS2 for either Guilty Gear, MB, or both, that'd be much appreciated. Also, how would I go about contacting an admin to change the thread title so it matches my changes?

I think there is a mod a the bottom of the tourney and events listings. Try hitting him up for a answer.

The dates have been finalized for quite some time. But before remaking the thread, Vierge wants to talk to the fellow in charge just so we can clarify what games are going to run and at what times. I can tell you right now that we want to run whatever the players want to have (We'll most likely end up with GGAC, SFIV, SCIV, HDR, BB, and Tekken 6 in the end, but then again, it's what the players want). We'll have a website with the information available when all is said and done.
