sesame Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Really? ._. Well then, I'll have to fix that in a bit. ...Oh crap, I can't, I have to redo the whole thing. >_< Oh well, it won't take as long since I know how to get around my original problem, that green background. good luck <3.......... hahahhaaa... i was wondering why the hands are so big.....HAHHHA
Bolverk-GTM Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 good luck <3.......... hahahhaaa... i was wondering why the hands are so big.....HAHHHA Lol and I never would've given it a second thought unless SD or someone else had said something about the effects being 50% bigger than normal. It's all good though, I'm burning through it this time around with ease, the right music helps too. xD I'll update this post with the final product in a bit.
Shadow Draygon Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 You have a double frame in there. Also, magical boot & stocking swapping.

Since SD said the effects were 50% larger, I reduced the size of the fists by 1/3 so they're about 66-67% of their original size in the sprite rips. THIS TIME I made a "backup" in case I have to downsize them a little more. :3 As I said before, Kenshiro taught her well.
WintySoSolo Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 You have a double frame in there. Also, magical boot & stocking swapping. good eyes. Should be fixed now. Every character in the game is some sort of quick change artist. Or at least Litchi and Nanaya are. Silly Arcsys characters they are.
Mr. Kimura Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Sorry if this has been asked but what about story dialogue portraits?
Mushroom Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I've been ripping them slowly over time. When people need specific ones I give them up. Beyond that I'm waiting until I have them all done and neatly organized before I release them. Same goes for pretty much everything that isn't sprites, although I'll be re-ripping all of the sprites eventually too. Someone else already beat you to the punch Joe.
Circuitous Posted August 6, 2010 Author Posted August 6, 2010 FYI, sprites in the effect folders are 50% larger than they should be. HUGE HANDS. This is a lie. SOME effects are 50% of normal size (this was especially common in Guilty Gear). However the vast majority of BB effects are normal size. Also just to clarify: the GG colors I posted are not my work, or any particular effort on my part. Those are color #20 for each character, the fourth color in DLC Color pack 2. I was simply demonstrating what was what and who was who, since the questions kept cropping up. Re: GIMP. I hate the GIMP. Even when the color is a transparency index, it's not a transparency index. Unbelievable. It's just such a terrible program sometimes. I can't believe I installed it just to see if it was capable of this most basic of functions.
Bolverk-GTM Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Circ if there's anything I've learned about GIMP in my time with it, it's this simple thing. GIMP can be used, GIMP is understandable (at least for the most part) if you put time into it, GIMP can sometimes (SOMETIMES) get the job done for you, BUT one thing never changes: GIMP hates the users, it hates them to their graves and there's NOTHING you can do to make it like you. As I typed this message, it's probably devising a way to get me. It's like a curse of someone that wants revenge for being wronged. Hang on, I hear a cat somewhere in the house, I'll finish this message when I get back.
Kriegdrache Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 GIMP killed my mother and raped my father. Also, shitsucks about not being able to get DLC colors. I was hoping to mess around with Tager's GaoGaiGar scheme. Oh well~~
sesame Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 my only memory of GIMP is it crashed itself every time i tries to run it...... and that was like 3 years ago or so maybe...... so i never tried again.....ever...
2nd_God Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 my only memory of GIMP is it crashed itself every time i tries to run it...... and that was like 3 years ago or so maybe...... so i never tried again.....ever... Somebody downloaded the new Gimp on this machiene.. ("Gimp 2", no less) ...seemed like it had some interesting options to play around with, though i haven't taken the time to even open the program, myself. PHOTOSHAP' 4TW~!
Shadow Draygon Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 This is a lie. SOME effects are 50% of normal size (this was especially common in Guilty Gear). However the vast majority of BB effects are normal size. Yeah it's mostly the character sprites, like super sized Gii and normal sized lightning rods.
Black Onslaught Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 It's about time Gii's size matched his murderous intent to kill Rachel.

sesame Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 and then..... we can use him to make a ton of meatbuns =D.
theman4life Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Sorry for asking but are there any CT palletes out there that are compatible with the CS sprite rips? I tried to re color the color table in photoshop for the CT sprites from the site kit but I failed miserably. Specifically I'm looking for these Ragna and Noel palletes from CT in an ACT file. http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n180/Kurushii-kun/BBCT_SiteKit/?action=view¤t=NEL004.png http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n180/Kurushii-kun/BBCT_SiteKit/?action=view¤t=RGN010.png
Mushroom Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 insert funny comic I love the south park reference.
Circuitous Posted August 6, 2010 Author Posted August 6, 2010 . . . the rips don't have CT palettes in them? Huh. That's lame, thought they were in there. One more thing to add to the pack I guess.
theman4life Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Yeah the only CT palette I have is Nu's and I got that from your post here. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?8287-BlazBlue-Continuum-Shift-Sprites&p=586619&viewfull=1#post586619 Also, this is kinda far fetched but this Makoto palette reminds me of Garnet from the anime dragonaut.
Bolverk-GTM Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Okay so I just found out that the cat sounds were being made by some really pale asian kid, he was clinging to my leg and he was meowing like a cat with his mouth really wide open and it freaked me out, so I kicked him down the staircase and beat him with a conveniently placed street cone that I didn't even know I had in my house to begin with. ANYWAYS so I got my hands on Photoshop CS3 thanks to my friend and now I started messing with that to finally get what I wanted. Makoto's color palettes work perfectly in Photoshop whereas they don't in GIMP because you have to change the stupid image mode which loses the palette settings and screws everything up. Without further adue...EUREKA! :D
AnthemHero Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 i hope you don't mean them fully 3D modeled actual stages with separated textures that not many ppl can load in their computers without a pretty solid/advanced computer graphic background .... Well since people are capable of making them 2-D sprites.
