brofist Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Once Makoto and the other DLC characters become playable will it be possible to rip their sprites off the disc?Kinda; more likely than not it'll be FTP'd off a hacked 360. The DLC is put on the hard drive, not the disc itself.
Aristotle Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Does anyone have those in tsubaki's normal color?

Hotashi Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Are there any stage backgrounds for BB yet? They make pretty great wallpapers. : )
SoWL Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Are there any stage backgrounds for BB yet? They make pretty great wallpapers. : ) Getting stage backgrounds is pretty hard, as they're mostly 3D models. I remember someone ripping the models, but it went nowhere.
Circuitous Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 The backgrounds used in story mode are DDS files, which never come out right when I rip them.
Sol Kisaragi Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 They are some kind of .dds that only xbox360 can manage. Here's the files, i hope someone can do something about them or maybe the answer is in the x360 sdk.
brofist Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 They are some kind of .dds that only xbox360 can manage.lolwut On the other hand, your .DDS files crash texturetools upon execution; it seems you are running into the same issue Circ did.
Circuitous Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 I've ripped .dds files successfully in the past, I'm pretty sure it's the current version of hipster that I'm using. It's not really built for DDS files.

Circuitous Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 They would be, if I could rip them properly. If I knew more about it I'd write a QuickBMS script for them, but I don't know how to do that. If anyone does...?
sesame Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 random, the text header(?) of the file format is XPR2..... instead of 'DDS' here's what the BG file is XPR2.....TX2D 0 4....storybg00_000.dds and here's a usual dds file's textheader DDS | ..... i think the .dds extension is a disguise :/... like they often do in novel games to avoid exstraction... (yea i cant force them open either as .dds)

SoupNBread Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Thanks so much for these but I'm curious as if I could get some help in the palette swapping area. I'm looking to do a palette swap on one of her Astral Finish frames. When switching to another Lambda palette everything works perfect but when I switch to a Nu palette, some of the colors(most notably the outline) mess up. Is there anyway to automatically fix this or should I mess with the colors manually?
