blitz Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Dashing into 5k is another can of worms. You have to get used to dashing without ending up with a 6K, and you have to be quick to actually JC the 5K (you can't just let it finish the animation and then jump...that is too late). you want to know what else is tough? throw, dash j.K =O
zer0kage Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 We need to condense the list and single out the most appropriate basic bnb which works on that particular charaacter or some members of the cast. Basic as in at least it ends with a double ADC jD or something like that.
SilentForce Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 anyone able to FRC her s. tandem top and any tips on how to do it?..3-4frames is kinda too fast >.<
stinkymonz Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 You gatling into it and press the FRC just as the hitstop for the normal ends. That's how I do it.
Ice Prince Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Yes stinky is correct. It's much easier to FRC it if you're gatling with it. By itself, it's a bit more tricky and alot easier to mistime. The way I learned was by simply doing it off simple B&Bs. Try that if you haven't already, and you should be able to get it down failry easy.
SilentForce Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Thanks stinky and Ice prince for the tips and to luigi: ive seen launchers after that before in Nakamuras vids after a 2d CH he also uses it as a preasure string
Luigi-Bo 87 Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 I see. I still don't have AC, so I just wanted to know.
TGS Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 Any tips on how to use her 2d frc effectively? She doesn't have a 2D FRC. Unless you're talking about 2D into S Tandem Top FRC. And yes, she has some stuff with it on block and on hit. On block, you get frame advantage, so you go straight into your usual mixup game. On hit, you can go into a combo or knockdown into nasty H Tandem Top setups since the FRC gives you enough time to set up complicated setups that you normally get thrown out of if you tried to set it up using conventional means.
Luigi-Bo 87 Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 I see. I could've sworn I saw someone fRC a 2d, but you have AC and I don't, so I'm gonna have to take your word on it.
stinkymonz Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Like the poster before you stated, it's a 2D into S disc FRC but it looks like a 2D FRC since you don't see the S disc (or its animation) come out at all; S disc FRC is in the 3rd and 4th frame of its startup.
Luigi-Bo 87 Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Oh. Another question, how long is the recovery time if you hit someone in the air with an air fb disc? EDIT- Nevamind. Found it.
zer0kage Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Haven't seen it in vids at all but can the FRC S disc be used in a manner like OS's Charge cancel? Is it worthwhile to sacrifice 25% tension for the sake of 0 to + frames off some normals like 5H or 2D on block?
jabhadouken Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 On the subject of TK BMs - it seems a lot easier for me to get them off if I roll the motion fast and then roll back down to 6, or even to 2. Dunno if I'm odd in that respect, but they come out uber consistently for me that way, whereas my execution is like 50:50 for a 2368 or 23689. A quick question on ADCs. What is the timing for the execution of, say, j.D in a typical combo? (i.e. whatever into 2H, j.S, j.H, ADC j.D > et al) Further, what is the timing after the initial j.D for the next part of the loop? (i.e. j.S, j.H, or whatnot) Is it timing, a matter of JC, JI, or what? I couldn't find a detailed answer on this, so I thought I'd ask. (yeah, I typed into the search box "airdash cancels" ) I'm really digging AC Millia from what I've seen so far in vids, and am thinking of making her my main again   (not since XX)!

Meaning, you just have to mess with the combo until it works by changing the timing on certain things. Like the gap between a 2H and the jump, between the jump and the j.D/H/K, between that and the airdash, between the airdash and the next hit, etc.
Luigi-Bo 87 Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Is there enough time to do a combo after Longinous? If anyone has one, I'd love to hear it. It would be good to know on the rare occasion you use/hit with lust shaker.
TGS Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 In corner, Lust Shaker into Longinus, dash up, 5S, 2H, go to town.
Luigi-Bo 87 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Thank ya very kindly! Is there any way that you can back airdash cancel moves (via Ji or some other glitch)?
TGS Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 No, you can't airdash cancel backwards on moves that can be airdash cancelled. Believe me, we all tried on day 1, lol. The only way you're gonna be able to airdash cancel backwards is if you Roman Cancel the move, but that's a big waste IMO...
Luigi-Bo 87 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Sads. Had to make sure cuz I'm still learning when to adc and what moves to use after the adc cuz sometimes the opponent would float behind me.
Luigi-Bo 87 Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Anyone else backdash during a pressure string? Say you jump in with a j.s and adc, instead of continuing pressure, you immediately aridash backwards. I've been messing with this lately to try and bait DAA's and just fake people out by sometimes attacking (j.d, hairpin, or fb disc) and sometimes just landing and going into something else. Is this practical?
blitz Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 well, it stops pressure... But it does put you in a good position to zone. meh.
Luigi-Bo 87 Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Figured someone would say that. Just throwin; ideas out there.
