SOVIET AFRO Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Ugh..... lots of DP baiting from what i've seen in this one, Treat Tsubaki as a Faster lighter hitting Ragna due to the plain mean uppercut punish she has. usually good for 2.2k maybe slightly more without Charge but i may be wrong. Getting in without getting punished is the main problem here, but otherwise a very managable matchup, similar to the Noel matchup in pacing and damage outputs for the most part
kousaka Posted February 23, 2010 Author Posted February 23, 2010 well if your desperate for some curse.. arakune's 5d trades with tsubaki's dp on wakeup it's hard to prevent tsubaki from charging up curse combos whiff easily on tsubaki so pay extra attention to the 6d bug up part but overall it's not a bad matchup for arakune

Today I tried to do the wheel loop on a friend. i usually do the j5c > 214c in the combo too. I noticed that the j5c will jus whiff sometimes unless ur're really really close when you do it. In addition, it seems like u need to release the c and d bugs jus a tad bit earlier to get her at minimal height. Someone else confirm my findings, I'm about 80% sure of this.
Badguy Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 im not sure of the notation for the move but the animation looks like she is crouching and sticks out a wing. this move is a very strong anti-air and 8 out 10 times will beat j.4B. if i remember right it leads to about 2-3k dmg? dive cancel loops are difficult to perform on her (or i suck). as kou said its pretty hard to stop her from charging, but vice versa you can also get bell bug and clouds out. i like high jumpin and air grabbing her if shes charging in the air near me. also jus to note, 5C will always get a clean fatal counter if she does that air dive giving you a potential chance to get 100% curse. if i block her dp i usually punish with either air grab > 100% curse or 2C (FC) > 5A > JC > j.A > j.A > j.C > j.2A > DC > 5D > HJC > j.A > j.C > j.D (im pretty sure this works)

Oh, I thought you meant 44 teleport as in backdash. Nevertheless, from the way you seem to be using it the lol wut seems warranted. =P
Abyss Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Let's up this topic ~~ I remember to have seen a chain of video which were showing the hitbox of every character's attack. I'm bored by the AA 2C of Tsubaki, It does have an reach more long than what it looks like, and when I want to jD for bait it, I get countered often. 2C hit me sometimes also when I airbackdash barrier cancel (even if it's on guard, the goal was to dodge it). So if someone got the videos i'm talking about please, it will help me a lot ><

God are old posts about Tsubaki lol I prefer to still keep a mix between zoning and attack, that's why i want to know how long is her 2C.
