DubiousCurvLoop Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Wow, rare footage of someone who plays in SoVA. I had intended to make a thread months ago, but I didn't bother. Do you know anyone else who plays here? I pretty much play anything under the sun, but what I mainly play are GG, BB, MBAA, as well as T6 and SFIV. I have AH, but never really played it much before, since I've been busy with my main games.

I found Dustloop so I could learn some things and hopefuly find some new ppl to play against other than online players. and the arcades around here suck, The one at our mall only has Tekken Darkrez now, they took out the Marvel Vs Capcom Machine. I feel as if i can get better only thing thats holding me back is I don't have some actual ppl to train with and to push me to get better. Love Playing GG and BB, gotta Import a new copy of AC2 since mine broke about a year ago.
DubiousCurvLoop Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 There are quite a bit of players here in SOVA, it's just that most of them play Capcom fighters, and the rest of them are Tekken players. But there are about 4 or 5 of us who play GG. I most regularly play with Kam, who comes to my place to game usually once a week at least. We also play at Blackula's place, a local guy who hosts every Saturday at his apartment. He also runs ranbats (for SFIV and T6) every two weeks or so. He used to run BB ranbats as well, back when the game first hit consoles, but very few people here were even remotely interested in it, so he dropped it shortly afterwards. Sly: hmmm, you're quite a bit of distance from us. I think there are a few folks in Richmond who play, which isn't too far from you. Then there's some western VA players down there in the Blacksburg area.

I wouldn't mind a good training session, especially since I need to train up for Final Round in a little over two weeks. I haven't touched GGAC in a while, so I have to at least get my Venom back up to speed.

He's a Tekken player, so he's primarily going to have T6 going, but we could play some BB going as well on his HDTV (since they won't be using it at all) if you'd like. I'm not sure how your schedule is, but I thought I'd extend the invite. Let me know if you're interested, and I can give you more details.

Now I'm wondering if you're one of the players who he previously trained in BB. I may go over to the game room on Thursday, if you all are going to be gaming and don't mind an outsider. What time do things usually go down?

BTW, I didn't know they had BB players that attended ODU, I go to the Cyber Critter behind the university from time-2-time when I'm bored, LOL! I'm in Detroit right now on vacation until tomorrow, so I'm not in the beach ATM, but I will be soon. I'm not all that great but it would be nice to get some local games going with you guys. I hear u guys play GG as well, I probably will get destroyed in GG, but I love the game and still wanna play.
