  1. I think I've seen Fino do some stuff with that for oki. After a corner combo ending with 6h > P Summon, he would 5p the ball for meaty, TK H Summon YRC > 66 j.H > [H ball hit] > (land) > 2k. I've had a good amount of success with it when I tried it out. I think people get opened up by it for a couple of reasons: 1) they expect to block another air normal after the early air dash j.H, and get caught by land 2k. Or 2) they see the early air dash j.H (it looks unsafe), and try to throw punish Venom as he lands, but the H ball hit keeps them in blockstun as he lands, leaving them open to the low.

  3. Sin has a fuzzy overhead setup on Venom. If you block his 2H standing, he can go into j.h > RTL. Afaik, that's the only way he can convert off of j.h, so keep that in mind if he has 50%. EDIT: Actually, instant j.h will hit crouching Venom standalone, so it's a true instant overhead. Another random note: if Sin likes to dp out of Venom safe jumps, we can buffer in a blitz shield as an Option Select.

  7. GG's to UnderseaMagic, Helel, TectalEastside, Re-Ameiya and everyone else I played in the arcade. Tectal - didn't mean to cut that set short. I was mashing X, and by the time I noticed you got cut off, it was too late to back out. You seem to know that char inside out, so I was taking notes.
  8. Yeah, the fact that there's no lobby system really hurts. That and a slew of other issues with the netcode make it a waste to sit there with a room up. The only time I'll do it is if I'm browsing the internet or something at the same time. That said, I can invite you to the chat tomorrow, unless someone else beats me to it.

  10. Noticed there was no Justice thread, so I figured now would be a good time to create one, since everyone has their hands on +R now. Does anyone have any insight on this matchup?

  12. Can he still air dash afterwards? Now I wonder if we can use the old jump install trick by doing slow TK teleport input to get a double jump/air dash.
  13. Imo, Catherine's playstyle somewhat reminds me of Millia, despite their move-sets being almost nothing alike. They're both fast, have tricky air movement (Catherine can use his 214A/C to change directions in the air and cancel out of it with a normal), both take you to the corner to run their oki (Though Catherine's is not as strong, he uses meaty EX Bells somewhat like Millia uses disks on wakeup), and they both can combo-rinse-repeat it. You're in Japan? Go to the arcade and play NSC! I've seen a couple good ones a while ago, but I don't remember their names. I might be able to find them again.

  16. Is it just me or is it a little harder to do landing j.D 6B than it is in the older games? Didn't play EX at all, so I don't know how it is in that.

  18. Does skipping intros still ruins the connection? I would've thought Arc would fix that after all these years. My only pet-peeves are: - when a host kicks the next player(s) just to get a runback with the person who beat him. - When people who are marginally winning (and clearly better than their opponent) intentionally drop the kill combo to and run around the screen the entire time until time over. It's one thing if the match is close and the time is running low, if you're playing the spacing game/zoning, etc... but when you're running around with no intention to hit them, 60 seconds on the clock, 80%+ life, and opponent has pixels... are you really going to waste the whole room's time like that?

Right now, I've only been using it to AA when I can quite react fast enough with DP. 6A only seems to guard point mid and high, so can probably use it to get out of certain parts of flowchart pressure that has gaps and isn't low. Does anyone know on what frames of 6A that the guard point is active?
  20. Don't worry, I can't tech throws either in this game for some reason. I'm pinning the blame on SF4. Good games to everyone I played in the Arcade last night/this morning.
