Was actually thinking of doing a series of similar styled logos of random selections of the BB characters., as inspirations hit me. References that only BB players would get sorta thing. But don't expect them to come out often. I'm a very lazy person.

Also, I'll try to get in touch with Trag and discuss possibly making the DustLoop shirt. Continue to throw ideas down for t-shirts. I'm really picky about concepts, so the more, the merrier.

Yes, this is the critique I'm looking for at this point. I feel the logo stands on it's own. I will be fixing up the text a bit, I need to spend more time on it to give it a more professional look. Also, I will go ahead and fix up the hands when I get a few minutes tonight. If there are any other ideas, let me know. :kitty::kitty:
Beatrice Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 I've been going back and forth on the text. It certainly looks nice and clean - but this isn't really a clean logo. I have two ideas for the text: 1) "Clean it up" so it looks closer to the rest. The red is nice because it stands out. 2) Consider flipping the picture so the hilt of the sword is pointed to the right and see about like.. italicizing the text, or at least slanting it to to the right ( think / ) Because I feel the crisp text would work fine if it was following the flow of the image.

I've been trying to do a very simple black on alpha dustloop logo much like this, but could never quite get the text to fit in right. Good work.

Manta Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 He's me going to ask for something outrageous: Develop a system in Photoshop which makes any sprite look okay and puts the word "Dustloop" on it, much like you did with the original Sol images. Then apply it to make one image for each character in GG and BB in their most distinctive pose (Sol's J.D, Tager's Atomic collider etc etc..) and possibly colour each one in that character's prominent colour as well. Then make the front page pick one at random each time the front page loads.
