A.X.I.S. Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 For P4 Kanji There is another Kanji player who doesn't show up much but is really strong. His name is Yamamura. Apparently Tomo plays S.labrys too. I don't have the link but there is footage of him beating Souji with her. For Aigis You didn't add Yume the strongest Aigis player from what I hear. Add SPINKING and Tetsu for Chie. Those are the only two Chie's that I know of. Shadow's Naoto is one of the best Naoto's around from what I see so it might be worth adding.

TD Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 for liz we have damosu, kyou, hazure metal (l think vids of him got deleted), and abaren. l remember seeing a very good yosuke on jiyuna's stream called mo-co iirc.
Lord Knight Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 damosu and uchiyama are the best liz players the "P4UPlayer" teddie also goes by edo leo akihiko will show up as "P4UPlayer" in videos, but he's the highest PSR akihiko by far, so you'll know it's him. for yukiko, there's also whistler, pretty strong bb player too for narukami, add reinforce aka kasumiLOVE, i believe he's a AH SBO champ hayashi is the number one yosuke best labrys is a player named bobu from tokyo, i believe jourdal has vids of him as well for chie, there are top kansai chies Hae-chan (sbo 2nd place, famous slayer) and takken, also STD from tokyo, banbaban the sf4 player, and dogura the sf4/gg player. not to mention kirisame, the number one japanese chie player that's coming here to take our money, lol also, there's hina teddie, he's also above 800 psr
pktazn Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) Yukiko (???) StunEdge/Ho-chan (???) *SBO 2012 Qualified Player* Himajin (???) *SBO 2012 Qualified Player* Erumo (???) Shooting Sensu Obasan/Kotsubu (???) Kainuma (鯉沼) Yukiko (雪子) Ho-chan (ほーちゃん) Himajin (ひまじん) Shooting Sensu Obasan (シューティング扇子おばさん) this is the name on his nesica card / Kotsubu (こつぶ) Whistler (うぃすら)is another really good Yukiko. I can't find Erumoa's nesica name anymore, so I have a feeling it changed but he usually showed up in acho and kohatsu videos. Edited October 16, 2012 by pktazn
Kuuhaku Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) Player Names: ヒナ = Hina (Teddie) れお = Leo (Akihiko) とも = Tomo (SLab) きりさめ = Kirisame (Chie) *NEC qual 1st place ゆーさま = Yu-sama (Narukami) ユメ = Yume (Aigis) ぼぶ = Bobu (Labrys) *doesn't appear in videos very often, but is apparently really strong Maddo, Zombie, and Souji qualified for SBO. I'm not sure who the 4th Teddie was. Character names: 番長 = Narukami (says Bancho which is the JP nickname for him) *鳴上悠 = Narukami Yu, but even match videos list Narukami as Bancho. 美鶴 = Mitsuru 千枝 = Chie アイギス = Aigis クマ = Teddie/Kuma 花村 = Yosuke 直斗 = Naoto 真田 = Akihiko (says Sanada which is his last name) 雪子 = Yukiko シャドウラビリス / シャビリス = Shadow Labrys (Shabrys) ラビリス = Labrys エリザベス= Elizabeth 完二 = Kanji The P4U JBBS lists match ups like this \|悠.||花.||雪.||千.||ア.||完.||直.||熊.||美.||明.||ラ.||エ.||影.| 悠|-.-| -.-||-.-||-.-||-.-||-.-||-.-||-.-||-.-||-.-||-.-||-.-||-.-| For the most part, they just use the first character of the names listed above. But there are some exceptions. 悠 = Narukami 熊 = Teddie/Kuma 明 = Akihiko 影 = Shadow Labrys Edited October 17, 2012 by Bohemian Polka
Kuuhaku Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) The link you have for how to sign up for Nico is broken. But for reference, you can sign up on the English site ( http://www.niconico.com/ ) and use that account to log into the JP site. EDIT: nicovideo.jp is now mostly in English now. You can sign up here. Edited October 17, 2012 by Bohemian Polka
kurozero Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) While watching some tournament matches,I usually hear it when a low attack hit.I know "chuudan" means overhead, so I think "kedan"(or "keidan"?) means low. Am I right everyone? Edited November 26, 2012 by kurozero
axel Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 中段 = chuudan 下段 = gedan You nailed it pretty much.
kurozero Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) How about "atemi" (当て身)? I guess it means "counter hit" . Edited November 26, 2012 by kurozero
Kujikawa Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) atemi generally means poke, hit, strike, etc. However, in the fighting game community they use it to state a counter hit. Edited November 25, 2012 by Kujikawa
fubarduck Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Not quite, Atemi is a counter move, like Fei Long's counter super. Counter hit is usually just "counter".
Kujikawa Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Not quite, Atemi is a counter move, like Fei Long's counter super. Counter hit is usually just "counter". Really? I might have got counter move and counter hit confused then. So you mean Atemi is used for things like reversals?
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Yeah, I always saw atemi translated as "catch", which is what a reversal generally does (catch attack then counter).
kurozero Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Not quite, Atemi is a counter move, like Fei Long's counter super. Counter hit is usually just "counter". Yeah, I always saw atemi translated as "catch", which is what a reversal generally does (catch attack then counter). I think these could be true. Counter hit is just translated as "counter". "Atemi" is a "catch and counter move" like F-Kohaku's 214A/B/C (MB) and Yuzuriha's 4B (UNIB).
mr.mortified Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Moved the kedan thread to the Japanese help thread
Kujikawa Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Yeah, I always saw atemi translated as "catch", which is what a reversal generally does (catch attack then counter). Yeah, I must of mixed them. Sorry for the misinformation.
Elochai Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Skimmed the OP for something about Google Chrome, couldn't find it. Can anyone help me with trying to get JPN characters on Chrome?

Silmerion Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Yaxl (ヤクセル) has been the most common Axl player in Mikado vids for a few months now. He's pretty good. EDIT: Other active Axl players include Takarin (たかりん) and BLUE (BLUE). I haven't seen anything from Akira or Dennou since +R dropped. Edited February 24, 2013 by Silmerion
