Shockna Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 damn how many ps3 mu's are there. l feel like ct rach all over again, like 3 people l know play her. wtf. There's me (I'm still terribad though), Zeromus, I think Synthesis... Can't think of anyone else right now.
Synthesis Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 And Tempest Dahlia destroys me because I'm terribad.
Shockna Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Tempest: If you're on now we could play a few matches. I'm probably gonna be free for you though, lawlpadwarrior FTW XD
TD Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 l play pad too :l also l wont be on today... mom told me no (im an adult dammit >_<) synthesis l dont destroy you theyre always very close matches
TD Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 actually shocky im on on now- let me know if you wanna play
pulsr Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 1 and 2 are about the same tech wise, i think level 2 does more damage 3 SLIDES, 4 wall bounces.
Vicious176 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I figured this should be in General rather than combo. on IB is it better to mash out DP or 6a. The past couple days iv been slopping with my stick since black ops came out and the DP motion will occasionally mess up and throw out a 6c that wiff, which equals death. the IBDP is a great tool but can it be combo'd from? Can't 6a go into something like j2d - 662b - xxx? Which one is more practical
TD Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 when youre rushing in. j.c is merely a zoning tool but it's huge horizontal hitbox that everyone uses it. l just stopped rushing down a few days ago tbqh. (cant explain how much better it made me.)
SolarMisae Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 damn how many ps3 mu's are there. l feel like ct rach all over again, like 3 people l know play her. wtf. There is also me but I'm awful.
Halcyone3 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 damn how many ps3 mu's are there. l feel like ct rach all over again, like 3 people l know play her. wtf. i play her too, though dont expect me to put up a big challenge
Grey Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 THATS 3 PEOPLE :[ Err there's me, I think I've played you before. But then I don't really play Mu, I only lose as Mu :[
TD Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 l played you before. my point is there isnt any mus. people always say theyre learning her when l ask them. she cant honestly take that long? at this point many people play valk better than her and he came out not too long ago...
Vicious176 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Any reason why? frames? hit confirm? Just curious, i see the 6a more ofter and eliminated 5a from most of my game play which leads me to the next question. What can I do with Mu's 5a, I just now realized I hardly ever use it. I usually use 6a and the b string as mix ups ultimately ending in 6b or 3c -then so. since one I use a c attack I can no longer do an over head. A only seems like it gives me a couple extra hits in that mix up. I'm sure this is ignorance on my part but what can I do with Mu's 5a and 2a? If it were bang, haku, tao, I can understand, but not with Mu. Unless you get a certain match up where you need a fast frame attack (bout to look up frames for 5a vs 5b and Origins). Why do I see so many people mash a, either in a tech, after a roll, etc. Is this some pro strat I'm missing on or is this scrubish game play? Or is there a secret to it. I've soon bother pulsr and Zeromus X do it regularly.
C0R Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) 5a is faster. Therefore less punishable on whiff and works in all windows 6a does + more. If using 5a as opposed to 6a doesn't make sense, does using 2b over 3c make sense? I use a c attack I can no longer do an over head All c's are stein-cancelable on block, as well as >SoD, and 2c is IAD - crossup j.X on block (b and c are both overheads, +crossup is an added bonus). If your hitconfirm to trip fails, just get out and set up another pressure string. Her pressure feels like it has gaps when you're controlling it, but it's actually pretty tight, linking together strings is the only part that requires a lot of heavy thinking. Unless you get a certain match up where you need a fast frame attack (bout to look up frames for 5a vs 5b and Origins). You need a fast frame attack in every matchup, 5a is pretty much the fastest, and Origins, like any textbook DP, is very very unsafe unless you impliment it perfectly. So 5a +Fast +Hard to punish +Hitconfirms into 2b>xxx +Gatlings into almost every normal +Works in neigh every window Edited November 25, 2010 by C0R
Vicious176 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 thanks a bunch, nice bakemonogatari avatar too.
Silfer Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 She's just not a popular character. /shrug this. Its weird though, its not a difficult character to pick up and play and she is pretty much naked...go figure...
SolarMisae Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 this. Its weird though, its not a difficult character to pick up and play and she is pretty much naked...go figure... I'm pretty meh at fighting games at the moment, but I never found her all that difficult to pick up. I liked that about her... I guess difficulty is a personal thing though, people say Ragna is easy and I find him really hard to use for some reason... Dash cancels lolol.. I don't see why she isn't more popular, she's so much fun. :3
Halcyone3 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 my point is there isnt any mus. people always say theyre learning her when l ask them. she cant honestly take that long? but she's my third character ;-;
TD Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 l actually find mu very difficult. l do. she's not very easy to control. and her setup require a lot of brain MB. 0.0
Shockna Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 l played you before. my point is there isnt any mus. people always say theyre learning her when l ask them. she cant honestly take that long? at this point many people play valk better than her and he came out not too long ago... Mu is a pretty tough to learn character. Given that she's only been out for about four months, I'd like to say that we're all really still learning her. Some, like Zeromus and pulsr, are simply much further along than others. As for the Valk thing, it's because Valk is almost as easy to learn as Ragna, at least where combos are concerned. >_>
SolarMisae Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Why is it the people who everyone say are easy to learn hard for me? ;_; Valk and his wolf dashy stuff throws me off, and I find Rags a huge pain in the butt to use. orz I guess Mu isn't really easy, but I guess the more fun you find a character difficulty isn't much of a factor if the play style clicks with you. Mu is the only character who clicked with me well since I gave up Lambda. I got tired of pressing DD lots. But yeah, I noticed that there are a lot of people who sub her, learn her on the side and such, but not quite as many people who main her...
