choysauce Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Usually I do alot of 2AxN>2B and [5B>2B]xN. Most of my variation comes from jump cancels off the 5B (IAD back, jC, IAD j2C[crossup]), using 2B for frame traps and tick throws, and 6B; or if I'm lazy just end with a C attack>63214C(lvl1-3). what's xN stand for? is that a variable that stands for like a BnB combo?
MisoSowee Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 It just means however many times you want/can.
choysauce Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 oo ok, yeah, i love how 5b and 2b gatling back and forth lol, but the pushback is so much, seems like you can only get in about 3 of any combination of 5b/2b i have some questions, i apoligize cuz they're a bit scrub status or if they've been answered already, but can you DP meaty attacks in this game? i have such a hard time trying to use it on ppl who meaty my wakeups. (damn sf and it's lenient ass exectuion) and for her D's i've been reading there's charged D's. does that mean you hold down D's to make it charged? and the # of diamonds on the steins are just to denote what order they came out in and nothing else right?
Kamano Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 For the D moves, yes, you can just hold down D for a moment extra, and it will make the initial laser from the stein do much more damage (~1k), and break a primer if blocked. Has a pretty significantly increased startup to do the charged ones, but they certainly have their uses And the icons on the steins are to keep track of the order a Ame no Totsuka/Divine light of punishment will go through the steins. Keep in mind the steins get numbered in reverse order... the most recent one will always be #1, and prior ones will be 2-4

The ones Ive been using are more or less the same as yours, have you been able to combo off of a none counter hit crossup j.2c? also is 63214C safe on block if its not charged?
FlyingVe Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 As far as I know you can only combo of non-CH j2C with a Rapid cancel. It decently useful as you can set up oki, but I'd rather save the meter for the super. Occasionally I hit people just as they start jumping, in which case Dash2B will combo (barely). Overall, I don't recommend cross-up j2C too much, the risk outweighs the reward pretty bad. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 63214C is always -10 regardless of the charge. Given the move's range and knock-back its pretty safe. However, You can be ID'd out of the startup. It's a small gap but its possible even if you don't charge at all. The charging I like because it creates a mind game similar to jins 623D, except instead of unblockable, Mu reams GP. CHarging the sword seems most effective against characters with average range, or short range reversals (Jin, Tager, meterless Hazama, meterless Makoto, Noel, etc...)
FlyingVe Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 63214c frame advantage on full charge iirc You mean +X on block? Kewl. If that's true I will have to work on ways to abuse it.

Senovit Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 The super sends lasers to them all pretty much simultaneously. Order in which they hit the opponent is basically just dependent on positioning.
FlyingVe Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Would anybody like an updated Oki thread? There's alot of very good and useful information in there, but it's disorganized and hard to find. It would be good if we had a new one with everything in the first post. I would be willing to make it if there's demand.
TD Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Ask Sythesis. He said he'd update the thread, but i'm sure he wouldn't mind if someone else did it. Agi's guide needs an update actually =/
FlyingVe Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 For XBL people: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9832-XBL-3V3-Same-Character-Tourney.-Shake-off-October-Rust A new 3v3 same character tournament. To enter you'd need a team of three players all playing the same characters. Much to the dismay of Team Tager and Team Ragna, I want to be repping the new hotness (Mu) in this tournament. As we need a team of 3 players, who else wants in? After we figure out whos interested we can figure out the team. EDIT: It's XBL only so I'll need Gamertags if it's not in you forum image thing. <-- Potential Players: FlyingVe - FlyingVe AndyG - Viva La Rocann Geist - Satosa Jin Voiddd - voiddd NickExtreme1 - NickExtreme1
geist Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I'm up for it I might have to back out cause ATM I only get a good internet connection mid-day (till like 5-6 o'clock)...hopefully it'll get fixed soon
Voidddd Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Id want in on the 3v3 tournament but you guys already got a team of three, maybe I should go make a rachel team :/
FlyingVe Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Well, we could always have too teams, or do playoffs. In my experience, the teams are rarely what you expect. Geist already said he might have trouble making it. Besides... we need your Mu voiddd...
AndyG Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Void's mu is fun and good. I'd love to play too, I should probably practice a little and make sure to level my mu up more before the tournament, but I'd like to think I'd make a solid player already. If pulsr doesn't want to play, who would the A-team be at this point?
FlyingVe Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 It would be nice if we could decide the team peacefully (or if we have enough for two teams...), but a quick playoff would be a simple, easy, and fair way to make decisions. I can vouch for voiddd's Mu-12, and Pulsr would be a shoo in if he wanted to join.
FlyingVe Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Lol. It just occurred to me, we could use PSR to decide... Anyways, it would be best if people could just vouch for each other. Then we'd have the best team no hard feelings.

Depends on the date, btw. Either Mu or Tager for me, and you guys don't want me picking Tager, now do we? :bad: PSR is a no-no btw, unless said person has like 500 matches under his/ her belt :/
FlyingVe Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I'm interested. Depends on the date, btw. Either Mu or Tager for me, and you guys don't want me picking Tager, now do we? :bad: PSR is a no-no btw, unless said person has like 500 matches under his/ her belt :/ I'll put you down. By the way we'll want at least one sub so if we don't have enough for multiple teams, you could still stay on as a sub. Also, the PSR thing was a joke. Lastly, I'm not at all afraid of Team Tager. There is only one Tager on XBL that can beat me consistently in mirrors, and I'm playing on Team Mu. Also, which side of that matchup do you want to be one Nick?... I thought so.
Ryudrake Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I can't seem to find it but is there an Unlimited Mu-12 move list? I'm specifically looking for the move where she burns the floor across the screen. Thanks in advance.
