The resolution could not have caused lag, for the PS3 outputs a signal in 480i, displays in 704x"480", and is the standard/native resolution of all CRT's (there's no rescaling introduced). The refresh rate of the TV could not have caused lag either, for a low refresh rate relative to the frames per second would only introduce more "flicker" as the frames being displayed are brought in at a faster rate than the TV can display (standard NTSC is 30FPS at 60Hz). However, this doesn't introduce lag since the TV is not locked in an eternal battle to display all the frames it is receiving, only the ones that are being sent to it at any given moment. Hence, the "flicker." Also, don't think that you're losing precious frames to react to overheads either, since "...for games running at 60fps, you only get half of each frame displayed. Don't worry, I feel like I'm playing in molasses every time I play BB too.

Yeah im not even calling it lag...just slowness, sorta hard to describe it just felt like the game was overall slower. So in situations where I beat the 3C > 2B link which is Jins B&B, I was dropping it like 80% of the time resulting in a missed 2k+ damage combo (not to mention causing me to rage).

Sleeping over at the MindHiv3 was a blast. I was kinda bummed out about the small turnout early on Saturday, but it ended up being lots of fun despite that.

Stopped in on Sunday to play casuals and watch the tournaments, had a great time thanks to everybody for the matches, and a special thanks to the Hazama/Jin player (didn't catch your name dude) that played with me most of the day and gave me a ton of tips. Going to start coming to the friday night sessions a bit more so hopefully see most of you there.
