Frigiddeath Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Yes, I am still planning on holding a meet up on Saturday. Because of EVO I am starting it at 10:30 AM till whenever the fuck it ends. It is not just an EVO streaming party, we will mostly be playing with the EVO stream up so people can watch the hyped matches while still playing. Most EVO matches don't matter, but when you got pros playing it is fun to watch. I have no clue who is going to coming yet, but hopefully a few. Now it is time to hit the lab and re-learn blazblue.

TEAM FEL ORC in melty,: i think cookie uses sion in melty. pfhor uses kohaku, and others use arc and sion and kouma and maybe 1-2 others i forget in kof2002um, i use mai/li xiangfei/heidern/angel/terry(especially mai and xiangfei), and i dont really remember who jet and ronin use besides some form of kyo for jet and k' for ronin in kof13 i think ill use some mixture of mai, leona, kensou, ash, yuri, athena, and terry(pending on new charas, obv) in gg, ronin uses baiken, cheebz uses sol, supaa uses baiken, transient uses ABA, oso uses venom in tekken i use leo, jet uses lars, ronin uses..lee. but we dont really play that much and jet has put more into it than the rest :1 in ah3, i use lilica, supaa uses eko, pfhor uses clarice, transient uses heart, oso would use heart but cant really play due to no ps3, ronin would use kamui but same deal(PLUS RONIN DOESNT EXIST ANYMORE), jet uses elsa and i guess heart, frigid uses weiß but he mostly only plays mvc3 and kinda BB. boombox uses several characters but i havent seen him in a while due to work. boombox plays a lot of characters in every game, he's cool like that. I forgot how much work you really need to put in to get good with Makoto. Having to time level 3 every time is going to take at least a month of solid training to get down and I honestly don't know if I care enough to bother. Maybe I will mess around with other characters or maybe they will rebalance my character in a patch so she is not boring as hell to play. Think my biggest hurdle right now in Blazblue is actually caring enough to put in the month of work to get good with any character and by good I mean playable. Also, I doubt I will make any Friday meet ups. I won't be getting home till 6ish at night and at that point I am just going to want to relax and sleep.

I found getting level 3s with normal drives really easy, like 80% of the time easy. Some changes observed from the KOF13 console build which is at EVO right now: -Raiden can't combo off his dropkick any more without the corner(YES!! YESS!! YES!!! I hope it's still strong though since it's a fun mechanic, just wayy too rewarding for the strength) -Raiden dropkick takes longer to charge -Various bugs gone -Shen's fully charged punch doesn't guard crush any more.. Oh well, he is a little too strong, I just hope that's his only nerf. -Comboability changes..terry can link crouching light punch into crouching heavy punch?! Mightfo Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 Yashiro probably wont be far down the line in next KOFs though. Yashiro/Chris/Shermie is a pretty obligatory team for them to eventually have. We could probably play KOF2002UM some at the next meetup I host since I have it on 360..netcode is shit but it has some awesome charas like Xiangfei and some good changes. And yeah, dont lab it too hard...combos are pretty different between 2002/XIII beyond normal chain/link into specials stuff..but getting used to shorthops, rolls, supers not usually having much invuln, etc is good. There's also some weird things about KOF but they end up making sense when you consider other things, I'll explain that later.

Feeling out combos, blockstrings, how to defend against other characters, weird neutral situations, resets, glitches, etc. Testing things.
