Still not on XBL or PSN, but...

Valkenhayn looks great. i thought the initial footage of him was kind of boring(ok..big pokes..autocombo supers, whatever.) but arcsys can even make a goddamn squirrel girl awesome, so my doubt was pointless.

-6c(dropkick) is low invuln, breaks primer, overhead, fatal counters and +6 on block. 25 frames, though.

-6b(move that pulls enemy closer) is +8 or something, fatal counters. 22 frame startup, apparently can be used for frame traps?(Bang's 6a has the same startup and his 5b has the same blockstun as valk's, so should at least be a 5b 6b frametrap)

-good pokes, 5b has ragna's 5b range but only -1 on block like bang's

-instant overhead, j.c hits crouchers while rising. can jump cancel 5a/2a/5b and other stuff i forget. rising j.c only combos into super though, but it is nice, and jump cancellable. so he can do 5b and then you have to guess jc or 3c. 3c leads to more damage, though.

-j.b is good horizontal kick, and the back of it crosses up well, sort of like that one ryu kick crossup. back of his other leg hits you.

-2 anti airs: 2c, 6a. 6a has projectile guardpoint, never seen it actually used effectively. both have head invuln. 2c goes into good damage(3k-5k) and can beat ambiguous crossups possibly. 2c seems to get head invuln pretty quick.

-i hear he has a lot of frame traps, which wouldnt surprise me considering the frame data we've seen so far.

-he has an air special kick that guard crushes and he can tigerknee. seems at least safe for throwing out for a jump cancel. air unblockable. wonder if landing makes it + frames...

-shoulder tackle(236a) is apparently +3 on block and staggers. great for resets and pressure. don't grab or it'll be purple, rofl. pretty quick too, like 14 frames.

-his chipp-esque super(some people call it valkfunka but that doesn't make any sense) continues to attack even if blocked or whiffed. do not stop blocking.

-he can special cancel into 236b, a low, which has a rekka followup.

-his uppercut that is like slayer's EX punch is a 21 frame overhead, and seems to be a good anti air at times, in a lamda 236c sort of way. -10 on block, but...

-he can cancel all specials(and at least 6c) into drive on whiff or block. his 6c and 236b can transform before it even hits! he can wolfdash away, so he can make pretty much every move safe(unless they whip out jin 623a esque move though, I guess?), or go into some mixup. most of the wolf footage so far has been unimpressive. but later in this post there's a nicovideo that shows off his wolf mobility well.

-he can transform into wolf form and back to get a huge amount of momentum very quickly.

-wolf 5a is a low

-wolf has a command grab, 2300 damage. not sure about startup or anything

-wolf can airdash very close to the ground, good high/low mixup

-damage for wolf/non averages somewhere between 2300 and 3800, though his max range 5b only combos into like 2000 or something and he has a lot of ways to get ~5k

-seems to carry to corner a lot.

-seems to have high heat generation.

-wolf seems to have good crossup potential, somewhat frkz esque?

-can feint wolf dashes by cancelling them into other wolf dashes. probably good for faking out zoners, but eats his wolf meter pretty harshly.

-astral is a DP.

-unlike slayer, he does not need a pipe for his tobacco. he chews it.

weaknesses:

-no reversal except his chipp super apparently has some invuln

-4 primers, low hp

-5a sucks, 6 frames, seems to have a tiny ass hitbox

-anti airs dont have huge hitboxes it seems

-wolf form cant block, may be vulnerable to 5a mashing due to low blockstun/low priority, too. unsure.

-unsure if wolf form blockstrings can deal with 5a mashing and jumpblockers. will mashing beat both overhead dashes and command grab? will chicken blocking save them?

-no dandy step because chewing tobacco is disgusting

4:50 we see him transform into wolf after special, do wolf air overhead, then airdashes away very briefly and back for another overhead.

5:08 transforms into wolf and back for a huge arc airdash for his j.b

5:58 just..impressive mobility.

7:30 we see that he can quickly airdash along the ground in wolf form after doing a normal wolf ground run..morrigan esque, almost. so definitely good wolf form mixup. even after you block his initial overhead after a routine transformation, you still have to worry about his low, his command grab, and a potential ground-airdash overhead.
