i don't think the davis arcade has a bb cabinet, but i do know that there's people there who play it. so yeah, probably crashing dorms/living rooms if anything.

you'll find that most of us are chill; we keep the online (theory fighting, shit talking, etc) online for the most part. so even if we lay down the REEL TOK here, we usually don't mention it in person cuz we all a bunch of passive aggressive weirdos like that.

if you ever wanna splurge, we do have tournaments in the south bay pretty often. guilty gear in san jose, blazblue in san jose/sunnyvale.

What's the scene in Davis like? My sister lives there, so I actually go down fairly often. Is there an arcade there, or is it mostly people meeting up and playing at people's houses? I'm new to this, so I don't really know how things go down. I do own the PS3 version of CS and an HRAP3 if that matters.

The scene in Davis for bb is pretty much non-existent. I'm getting a streaming setup just to get it out there that some people play though. Looks like I will be playing with Van later, too. On occasion, I play with Spirit Juice and the fairfield cats. But in Davis... I think we only have... three people who play BBCS that I know of (including myself, sadly).

Sac/Davis scene is pretty random. Coopa and I are the only people that post regularly, and aside from us, there are random people that play but do not post on DL. Arvoyea and Soniti live in Sac State, so you may also want to hit them up. Other than that and like I said before, there are a few other random players that play but don't post on DL/lurk all the time. I wish people seek out competition more, but it's kind of hard to. For example, there's a handful of players that play BB at Sac State according to Soniti, but they only lurk DL and don't post. I wish those kinds of players would reach out to the NorCal community and get involved, but I guess they're just satisfied with playing with their small circle of friends.

I'm up for people coming over today for BBCS. Just watching football right now. Trying to get a foothold for us Dustloop cats in Sacramento is hard. Mainly because as Spirit Juice said, many only lurk and don't post. I still don't get that. That's one hurdle we need to get over.

I don't even have a small circle of friends that enjoy BB. They're all into SF more, which is fine but leaves me to rely on netplay only. I'd love to actually have people to play with, but I'm really really shy, and sometimes my shyness can put people off from wanting to bother to getting to know me.

Also, RGL is a joke. They used to have some decent games there but now it's shit, which is sad because I used to love going there.

I'm sure most of you will mop the floor with me, but I'll learn from my ass kickings. So where do you guys play around here? I live in san francisco, i'd be down to just play some casual games with someone around here if anyone wants.

I want to get better at BB though. SSFIV is fun sometimes, but I really like how playing BB feels. It's harder, but also a lot more fun.

if you can get down to San Jose next saturday, the 2nd of October, we are doing a friendly tournement at San Jose State. that would be the best way to get into the scene and meet some people. There a quite a few people up in san fran to play with, though maybe more for GG then BB.
