Shining Aquas Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Hey it could've been worse... He could've gotten blown up by an old white lady at a bar. Serves him right for being born in Louisiana and being full of shit.
RinHara5aki Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Hey has anyone/is anyone going to ask SVGL staff about BBCSII import for the cab? Probably not gonna happen, but doesn't hurt to ask.
Dacidbro Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 It literally can not happen. There is a tax on Japanese currency, so it's impossible.
sakabato24 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Roseville's Golfland needs more love.... And Fighting Game cabs in general... I don't mind playing Technika 2 or IIDX there, but that's all I really play...
Ginseng Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 It literally can not happen. There is a tax on Japanese currency, so it's impossible. Uh, everything is taxed. But anyways, the reason why there will not be a BBCSII cab is because of the Nesica system, and the requirements for a fiberoptics connection. American IPs are banned from the Nesica system as well.

I don't mind playing Technika 2 or IIDX there, but that's all I really play... I think they have a ST cab around there somewhere? And they probably still have that old Soul Calibur 2 cab. Would be nice if they got something more recent though, even if it's just SFIV or something. I haven't been by there in years, so I'm going to assume they still have the same crappy games they did 10 years ago. Maybe they've upgraded some of them though?

Most things are not electronically taxed through Nesica ^_^
Chun Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I asked a while back in the case we might want to work out some events or local tournaments with SVGL, but after hearing SSF4:AE is going down for 13k+ USD, I highly doubt recommending it since Console version would sooner come out.
buzzsaw Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Most things are not electronically taxed through Nesica ^_^ what the fuck are you even talking about
qwerty Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 cs2 isn't coming to the states and that's all that matters. wait until console release or play a better game.
Dacidbro Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 what the fuck are you even talking about Its in the computer

They upgraded IIDX finally to Sirius, and they finally got Techinka 2, but, they yet to update Initial D 4 to 5, DDR Supernova to Supernova 2, and replace any of their fighting game cabinets. T5:BR and SC2 is broken as shizz, the SNK cab is crap, and the Ultracade that holds SFII:CE is okay. They didn't have ST, and I wish it would. They really need to upgrade a lot of their machines and keep them in acceptable condition...
Skubator Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I think they still have Tekken 3 around there somewhere, but I could just go to round table or something if I wanted to play Tekken 3. That game is everywhere.

That game is everywhere. You talking about RGL? Then, nope, no T3 either.... TT__TT... I totally remember playing MvC2 there though, but that was like 10+ years ago. I hate the owner to with a fiery passion too. I asked him once about why he isn't getting any new fighting games. He told me that 1) Fighting cabs aren't making much money (I say BS. It's because you don't have any new fighting cabs, and the old ones that you have are crappy.) and 2) His Mormon beliefs dislike fighting in general (More BS. Why do you have rail-shooters like Rambo and Terminator then!?!) Gahhh!!

And if violent games are so much against his belief, why does he own an arcade? I guess it prolly came with the minigolf and the waterpark, but still. Leave it to Roseville to have our arcade be owned by Mormons.

It's gonna be a while before I'm actually able to get an apartment at least in an area that's not boring or dangerous.

KatanaDash Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 ggs to every one that came yesterday! also gg's to the folks who came out to rod's place
Skubator Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 solution: move out of the sticks I don't know if I'd call Roseville "the sticks," but it's definitely a shitty place to live if you're not 40.
sakabato24 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Roseville is a rich neighborhood IMO, but I can get real boring out there... In a matter of fact, Sac is kinda a boring place. Solution : We need to build a better community here in Sac.
