Stuff happening today? There's going to be a massive sea of traffic when I drive down due to having to pass Super Bowl 50 events on the way over, so I really don't want to get there and find out nothing is happening. If things are happening, I will deal with the traffic.

Is there a Caliburst happening today? Post says no, but it's also first Saturday, so...

I guess it's been said that the game is set to receive an update on the 15th or 16th of this month. Bugfixes, a few balance changes and possibly other surprises.

Sooooo, game's out. Supposedly initial reports have been "unsatisfactory", but good luck trying to find match footage to confirm for yourself :\ EDIT: Nevermind, found a couple videos: Overall, game looks incredibly beautiful, but the mobility seems a little stiff and the fighting seems a little too clustered.

So like, how do you deal with Hakumen? He seems to just be loaded with methods of shutting your gameplan down.

Why does this character not have an overhead? Why isn't 66C an overhead? It feels like Vatista and Merkava would be possible if there was a way to open them up that didn't involve jumping.

Has anyone managed to get that 22A-2C link on any standing characters at all? I cannot get it to work, I'm feeling pretty certain it isn't possible.

There are no good wakeup options with Fiona. Occasionally you can surprise someone with 623A (Homing Cancel) which might be able to get you through with it's 1-hit super armor, but Fiona has bad wakeup generally. You can however use any of the Arcana in the game that have a true reversal.

Finally got a copy of the game, so I can start messing around with Ice Fiona. Little sad that my original Excalibur reset no longer works, but here's a new one I came up with: Ice: 5/2A (Optional) - 5/2B - 2C - 421C (EFC) - 5C (Full charge) - 2D (Full Charge) - 214E ~ Slight Delay (they tech here) ~ 623AB If you want an actual combo, substitute the Snowflake with either 63214A - 63214AB, or even 236E - Any Super , or you could just end it with 214BC The reset provides about 7-9k damage roughly plus a raw Excalibur. The actual combo can be anywhere between 8-10k depending mostly on whether you started with the optional 5/2A.

I still haven't gotten mine. It shipped on July 26th. It sucks cause everyone in my area is probably practicing with characters that aren't Chaos, and now I'm probably too far behind to ever catch up.

Obviously the secret is to just use TK Orb on reaction to the Leaf Throw, thus avoiding the grab and maybe even getting a solid CH out of it. Obviously. (No, I don't have that kind of reaction time either)

What about the Hariken stance having Projectile Armor? I thought that was a thing, seems like a pretty big thing even.

It sucks to be waiting, but I bought the US version and honestly don't feel like buying the game for the 5th time just to play +R a couple weeks early. Doesn't hurt to practice Accent Core in the meantime and I get to play +R whenever I go to events so eh. The US release thing is still ass though.

I'm coming, but I'm too afraid to participate in any tournaments at this point. Like, I still have US GGAC+ so I haven't touched +R, and I don't have the money to import ChronoAssblasta. Should we bring like consoles and stuff?

It's around 1 in the morning and I'm tired as hell, but my average was still around 27.5 seconds. Should I give up Guilty Gear, cause this is basically telling me I will auto lose to every Millia player once I get knocked down once. Mostly kidding, but also kinda...not.

Apparently Heart (or "Love Hoshi Ha~ato) received changes to both her "Tekken Punch B" and who could forget "Tekken Punch was really love anyway (EF)" It's not enough that the game has a character simply entitled "This", but one of her attacks is called "The Art of Dropping This"

I can sympathize with macros where pad players are concerned. Using face-buttons for Roman Cancels is a major pain, where having it on a macro is way easier. So, I feel banning macro use should only be for the sake of those who abuse it.
