Skubator Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 doesn't one of the saturn emulators have a psp port? Not that I know of, but I haven't been following the homebrew scene for a long time now. Last time I ran an emulator on my PSP, all they had was Genesis and SNES.
Shining Aquas Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Dissidia 2 comes out end of March. Monster Hunter is probably the best thing. You can be a fag like me and play KH: Birth by Sleep (which was reasonably good). I'd recommend Phantasy Star Portable 2 to people regardless of how much of a "fan" they are. Patapon 1 & 2 are some of the best games ever. I don't fucking care what people say, they are amazing.

Arvoyea Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 torture yourself on the go and emulate phantasy star 2 Not sure what that means, but do I really hate myself that much to do that? Actually yes, but I got a 3000 model.
Skubator Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Not sure what that means, but do I really hate myself that much to do that? Actually yes, but I got a 3000 model. You might still be able to mod with Pandora. You should look into it.

Skubator Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 For what? Also, which Monster Hunter is considered the fan favorite? You should probably get Unite, or import Portable 3rd. Or wait for it to come out in the states (don't hold your breath). Oh, and the primary reason to install CFW is so you can run emulators, and so you can run games from the memory stick. Like playing games, but not paying for them? Yeah, most people do.
Yggjrasil Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Any one know how much it would cost to completely mod my SE stick? I want this piece of shit to have some use to me before I chuck it out a window.
Arvoyea Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Capcom, I am dissapoint... GGJ, if you post at SRK, try putting up an offer for it at the Trading Outlet section. Or ebay, or see if you can sell it to someone you know. Sorry, not sure of anything else...
Irrelevant Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) There are soime good games for the PSP, they tend to be Remakes or sequels of PS2 titles though(Grand Turismo, Silent Hill, Metal Gear, God of War,Grand Theft Auto), I strongly recommend Valkyrie Profile, the battle system is all about juggling your enemies to cause as much damage as possible; Patapon is awesome as long you can get into it, Persuit force is a pretty fun action game(When you get star figuring out some of the tricks the game chances completely) I strongly Recommend The new Metal Gear and God of War for the system, They're much better than the console versions. Can I have CFW on a PSP-3000 model? Also games I've bought so far are Metal Gear Peace Walker and Crisis Core, will get Valkyrie Profile, seeing as I've played it before and loved it, and probably Valkryia Chronicles 2.

vanfleihight Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 You CAN have CFW on the 3000. There's a method for it now although I don't remember anything specific. Google around.

tastylumpia Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 All this talk has me wanting to get a PSP to play some old classics. Is it worth it to go out of my way to seek specific older models that are easier to homebrew, or does it not even matter that much?
vanfleihight Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I think the general consensus is still "Get a 2000 if possible" but at this point anything works. Even that atrocious looking Go.

I'll agree with that general consensus, because it makes sense to get a model that has been known to work for a while. Anyway, let's talk about something besides PSPs, lol, it's my fault for bringing it up. So, how about that Guilty Gear?
Tsubasa Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I'm not gonna let you change topics! Everyone should get Dissidia012. In JP. Then you can play w/Yuji & me. Just got my copy in yesterday.

Crosell Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Why? Enix has been extremely hands off of Square since the merger. Enix kept to their business, square kept to theirs.

I'm not saying Enix messed with Square, it's just after the merger, the games were getting less interesting for me, no hating on Enix. FF10 was the last Square game I actually had fun with despite being hard as hell at times, KH1 and 2 being also good.
