qwerty Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Take your own passport photo. Trust me on this.
Arvoyea Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) A guy on SRK going by nin-jay will have his first Capitol Fight District on Feb. 11th, in Sacramento. http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads/feb-11th-2012-capitol-fight-district-bi-weekly-tournaments-in-sacramento.151820/ I'll go and ask him myself if he will have Extend, maybe even GG and MB as playable games. I'm sorry but the state norcal is in is sad. And there needs to be no more beef between GG-exclusive and BB-exclusive fans, it only hurts our chances of expanding our player base. Both are good games, with their differences, so just shut up already. Edited January 31, 2012 by Arvoyea
natearistata Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 most people can't even make it to Fairfield because it's too far, expecting Sac is just setting up for disappointment. and, unfortunately, Keystone decided to throw their own big tourney that day :/

qwerty Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Norcal GG and BB have been separate communities since mid-CT or so. We just happen to play in the same place at the same time. I don't really see any conflict between the two, either.

Of course things are okay in Norcal, we all play the same games for the most part and actually get along. I mean the more vocal minority of the GG fanbase not liking BB even though they don't give it a chance. But I have no right to say anything, as I play both games and never won anything. Here's hoping I can get Extend and make my next tourney entry a better one.
qwerty Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I mean the more vocal minority of the GG fanbase not liking BB even though they don't give it a chance. A lot of GG players played CT when it first came out... and it sucked. Some of them stuck around for CS1... and it sucked. See where I'm going with this? Most people have given the game more than enough chances. EX is an alright game, but it's three years too late. Why bother playing BB when there's KOFXIII and AE2012?
shtkn Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 no beef? when i went up to norcal install (i think in august?), lost my tourney match in gg, and was immediately told "bb sucks" by my opponent, how am i supposed to feel? to be fair he later apologized and i think the comment was just meant as a joke, but i think this highlights an underlying issue

Even still, at least among GG players, you'll find few who haven't played BB at one point in time. I think you'll also find they think pretty similarly about the game (and how it can be improved), as well. FWIW, I think EX is what CS1 should have been, it just came way too late. KOFXIII is gonna gobble all the animes.

Lol! I know what you mean, cuz I'm one of those people. I will be honest and say I did try to give BB a chance. Maybe if I gave it enough time I'd be into it. But it just isn't the same. It only left me wanting to play GG instead. I still play GG but want to get into KOFXIII and would be playing AE2012 if I wasn't poor. >.< Edited February 2, 2012 by andresakatito
YaR 1030 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 GG vs. BB has always been and will always be. we're all doomed to new gen fighters sucking because they dumb them all done too easy to play. KOF is no exception. 13 is stupid easy to play compared to 02. then again 11 was stupid easy too. we're doomed and we're too old to be playing games anymore. fuck blazblue call of duty extend Edit: if you think I sound mad, i'm not. this post would make more sense and sound better if you knew me in person and knew my tone of voice. I'm the one who says Fuck Blazblue and Fuck Vampire Savior at NCI. Hunter is better. Lilith is a stupid character.
Spirit Juice Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 >say BB took too long to become a good game >doesn't realize that it took GGXX series just as long #scumbagfgplayer
qwerty Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 >say BB took too long to become a good game >doesn't realize that it took GGXX series just as long #scumbagfgplayer GG didn't have the competition that BB does.
qwerty Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 i mean what were you gonna play instead melty blood lmao
Spirit Juice Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 GG didn't have the competition that BB does. That doesn't really have to do with anything I said but okay. :P
Arvoyea Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 >say BB took too long to become a good game >doesn't realize that it took GGXX series just as long #scumbagfgplayer I just realized both games took 4 installments to get improved in all the right spots. mind = blown
qwerty Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 That doesn't really have to do with anything I said but okay. :P What other "new game that people play" could you have played when #R was out? No, really, you tell me. Today, there's other new games that blow the doors off of BB. That's all I've been saying and it's pretty hard to deny. It's just unfortunate because BB seems to finally be shaping up into a decent game.
andresakatito Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I just realized both games took 4 installments to get improved in all the right spots. mind = blown Do you mean complete games? Cuz Guilty Gear X2 has so many updates >.< GGXX, GGXX#Reload, GGXXSlash, and GGXXAC. Not to mention GGX and GGX+. >.< I don't mean to be a penis. I was just poking fun. lol
The Katz Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Wouldn't the people who worked on BB play a part in how soon they 'got things right'? Even then, after experimenting with various ideas they could have looked back on previous efforts and mistakes when making changes. Not saying they need to make it perfect, nor am I implying that they should make it a Guilty clone. I think they just put a little more thought into where they're leading the game.
ehuangsan Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Someone upload the MB replays onto youtube. We got to show the world the power of H-Nanaya.
vanfleihight Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Has anyone played El Shaddai and if so would you recommend it?
