I'll bring my xbox with bbex if I can carpool with someone. I think it's awesome that we're doing charity events now, but unless they have GG I probably won't make the trip all the way to Sacramento. We'll see-- if I carpool with some people and we set up at least a casual GG station I'd probably be down for it.

Mayftw Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I'll throw this out there since people will get pissed off at Fanime. Fanime's game room does not allow you to bring your own setups. And if you do, then the staff will 'kick' you out. The only way to play is: (1) play in your hotel room, (2) coerce one the staffing directors to let you play your games, or (3) become a staff/volunteer in the game room. And if you do, you are 'entitled' to bring your 'own setups' for WHATEVER game you decide to showcase/play (the only exception is that the TOs will kick you out to make more space for tourneys). As far as I know, this is the current policy. tl;dr - No BB/GG/EXVS/SG/MB. Yes SSBB, SSBM, Megaman 3, Metroid, Naruto, Bleach. If you don't like it, then you should learn how to play mahjong, dominion, or settlers.

I will challenge anyone to a game of Dominion...if I end up going to Fanime. Also, I don't recall it being that bad. Every time I've gone, there's usually a lot of leeway with the Game Managers if you are polite and civil about it. The impression I got was that if there's a cabinet setup for it, you can't hook up a console for it. Actual setups didn't seem problematic as long as you moved for TO's, understood that Fanime wasn't responsible for your stuff, and followed said cabinet-console rule. Last time I went was two years ago (Team Arcsys Q&A) and they didn't have a problem with me introducing people to Arcana Heart (1) and doing a full play-through of Megaman X4. So unless the policies have really changed in the last year, I can't imagine it being a big deal. Edited May 16, 2012 by Shining Aquas
