The law is very vague so something very innocent can instantly have an adults' only sticker slapped onto it. That's why that next big anime festival in Japan in the new year is being boycotted by so many companies and content creators.

We tried it. Everyone came to the unanimous agreement that BB was just terrible. Maybe in another few iterations of the game when they iron out all the mechanics. But as of CS2 even, it still looks awful to play.

Well I didn't realize that the money was missing until I looked at my wallet like 5 hours later. But yeah, that's one of the reason I stay all plastic. I just kept that cash in there for last week in case I needed to take a taxi to work or home if it started snowing. Fuck biking in the snow to work. But now that I recall more correctly, they actually only took 40$, because I still had a 10 dollar bill to buy shitty Chinese at Pacific Centre, which is also why I didn't notice the money missing until later tonight. Fuck, that's why I don't shop at AX. I just went in there to buy some Vneck T Shirts. Most of my other stuff I bought today was at Banana Republic and Levis.

Also, holy shit Skinny Jeans...... I don't know how some people can wear that shit. I almost ripped the jeans in half trying to fit my leg in. I did manage to find some good fitting jeans though.

Maybe we will explain tomorrow Shiro. I'm tired and the list about what we don't like about the game is long. Mainly poor game mechanics. And as of late, lame characters. I mean Makoto and Platinum? WTF is this shit? As well as the game mainly attracting Weaboos that don't know shit about fighting games thinking BB is the greatest thing since blowjobs.

yeah i'm not particularly impressed with Platinum and Makoto, they're just fanservice. not sure if CS2 is better than CS1 overall, either; we have to wait and see if anyone gets any "broken" loops or ridiculous pressure traps, or just flat out dominates (like Litchi and Bang in CS1 lol).

To be honest I got onto GG late, I played more sf and vs style games, so my understanding of the GG series has been limited, Also edmonton is horrid for GG we tried it failed and when I held WCC2, not a single edmonton player came and all of calgary came. It was pretty sad to say the least.

Now with blaz i am able to find out that lots of these BB players were playing GG with very small groups of friends. But I mean sure the game is not as good as it could be now. I use tao and i got my own list fo complaints for her.

BB is basically sf4 for the doujin player. But it is here until another GG comes out. I am not here to force a game on anyone, but if the scene over all for BB keeps growing and the scene for GG over time gets older and more people start to play less and less competitively then who is at a real loss?

I'm only saying this because I'd hate to see players who have the potencial to become really good at one game refuse to play it because of some shit they don't like. Capcom made capcom fighting game and before that it was snk made snk vs capcom chaos, both games did very very poor, all capcom took that as is, people dont like fighting games anymore, so fuck it.

Idk what made them decide to make sf4 but they did and it exploded the SF scene and brought back the heart and soul of the fighting game community.

BB isn't going to be a revitialization for the GG scene and I wouldn't pretend to say as such, but it is what people want to play now, not OG's in the GG scene, but more players over all. I stopped playing GG when I seen no one was going to bother playing it and no one was showing up for tournaments. People are playing BB and its getting a lot of time out there. I think even if the game isn't that great just support the shit. If people want to play it don't shove GG>BB down their throats because that is what the smash bros kids do and honesty... We can do better than that.

Well for us, GG has been moreso a tool to network and make friends, and we're still friends even though no one plays the game anymore.

A game that we don't find fun (too slow, too much autopilot) combined with no greater local community outside of the people that already played GG equals a game that feels like a waste of time to try playing seriously.

For awhile we played it for novelty, but in the end playing it simply because "it's kind of like GG and isn't the GG that we've been playing for YEARS" wasn't a good enough reason for us to take it over other, more interesting/fun things to do.

Shiro: another tl;dr, but West Coast is pretty much transitioned from a scene into a bunch of good buddies(except a few.) We don't really care about maintaining a scene anymore, though GG has contributed big part into making of it, like I still remember the times when I burst throw somebody he'd say "NO!!" and others yell "OH!!," and Clarence + Mike(?)'s super long 83(?) something win streak. Jay been uber salty last summer, and Peter wipes his sweats on his jeans after each round.

And afterall, "mike's apartment" is paramount, google it if you want to know more.

I wonder if another GG will ever come out? it would be nice if they had a version that had online support.

BB was a big disappointment for being the "spiritual successor" of GG. I like how it looks, but I really don't like how it plays. IMO, BB is too slow, and feels like a de-evolution of GG. It felt like they took out elements of GG that made GG so fun to play. and I understand that BB is its own game and all, and perhaps its a pretty good game on its own... but when it compares to GG-- the game we've been playing for literally years-- BB just doesn't cut it.

and there're so many better games out there, like SF4 and SC2. :D

If a new GG comes out, expect it to be like SF4, using polys instead of sprites with a simplified engine as stated by Arc developers.

Then again you almost have that already with BB, sans polys.
