The translation on the video is actually quite accurate!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa cantonese

Cantonese is seriously THE language that makes angry people that have naturally nasal voices sound utterly ridiculous. There is truly nothing like the screech of an indignant person in Cantonese.

"just leave it open, if he gets buttfucked he gets buttfucked", but then again there's alot of stuff there that people could steal.

I like how you rate an xbox's street value above the price of your anal virginity

you know Peter, there are better, more diplomatic ways of conveying a "fatalistic" interpretation on home robbery than "if you get buttfucked, you get buttfucked".

that was hilarious, Ray. but by the way, i was just curious, out of not knowing about the culture: what's your opinion of the guy's (lack of almost any) reaction? like if it were me (not that i try to get myself in those circumstances, but let's just suppose), i would've been the one to tell off the ex-g/f, rather than let the situation continue until the new g/f has to defend me.

like in my opinion (maybe b/c i'm white? or because i'm canadian / north american?), successfully pulling off the "i'm not listening~~" defense seems harder/riskier than just talking back and telling someone off.

A wannabe player caught with his pants down, does not yet know the ways of defusing awkward situations, rolls the dice on ignoring crazy woman and hoping she goes away after getting the silent treatment.

I really don't think it's a cultural thing so much as it is a guy who seems to not be terribly confrontational finding himself in a situation where he has no idea wtf to do.

shoulda kept the Collector base...

Actually I don't know what I was thinking while typing that. My thought process in typing that line is "if he gets buttfucked he gets buttfucked", I'm playing off Ivan Drago's line in Rocky IV as well as the same time making insider reference to a certain bet made with Joe(a friend of ours) with the implication being that literally someone come into Mike's house and anally violate him and not a metaphor of him being "buttfucked" out of his possessions. But then I remembered that a lot my stuff is at Mikes as well as other peoples so I wouldn't want us to all lose our stuff hahaha. As well Dace, in fact I would gain 500$ from Mike losing his anal virginity. Hopefully this hints at what the topic of the bet is. And that was my thought process on when I typed that.

I don't think I fully agree with Gabe. Eric pulled off the situation beautifully by clamming up. He's confronted by his ex girlfriend. He has the option to tell her off, but that would risk escalating the situation and starting a scene, which isn't very good because typically Woman vs Woman: okay, that's why the catfight near the end wasn't as bad. But he's a Man and she's a woman, thus if he confronted her and told her off, then onlookers might see her as being the victim, and that would look bad Eric and give the Ex a moral victory over him, knowing that people sympathize with her like if she were to throw the glass of water at him instead.

Furthermore, Eric is in a dominant position with both girls throughout the entire situation by staying silent. Being quiet was probably the best possible choice he could've done from an analytical standpoint. It's clear that the Ex still wants him and is willing to go through lengths to get him back as shown by her willingness to sacrifice and the hysterical manner that she was in. In a situation like that, it is hard to calmly diffuse and get the Ex to leave with confrontation between Eric and her, thus possibly completely burning bridges and really hurting the girl. Eric is also greatly aided by the current GF since she starts to defend him and states that she loves him more. This illustrates the value of Eric held by the GF, and strengthens his position of power over her. If he had stuck up for his GF, then that would mean that he's showing that he calls about her, thus giving a signal that she is worth something to him and that she holds power of him.

At the end of it, the Ex leaves embittered, angry at Eric but even MORE angry at the current GF as opposed to if Eric had told her off she would've been only angry at Eric. The GF is angry at the Ex and feels more strongly in her defense of her BF in the end and Eric in the end Wins because both are too stupid to realize that he was probably two timing both of them and instead of being angry at Eric, they turn on eachother. Just as keikaku.

Mike someone put up a save $12 off $100 coupon up on neogaf, so I just swiped it and used it for both our AH3+GM3 order, which will come in January since AH3 has to come out first.

It's KOF vs GG!

Well sorta, turns out Bamco is doing a new Queen's Blade SRPG but using characters from other games instead, notables include Mai and Dizzy. I saw it on magicbox.

And yes, it's for PSP.

Girl is going on about "who was that" "i'm all wet" "I DON'T WANT TO" (most of her loud yells are about "I DON'T WANT TO/I DON'T WANT IT")

Guy is going on about "she was a friend, we broke up long ago" "you're all wet so let's get some new clothes" "i'll buy them for you"

The guy is making an effort to be nice, but he sounds hella weak. So while Peter's political analysis may be correct in hindsight, he seems so weak here that any of that effectiveness was likely a fluke. I'm still going with caught in the headlights.

Stefan: I kind of lean towards your solution as well. I wouldn't want the girls to fight over me because it's often that the situation tends to end up with no chicks at the end, especially with Eric's "silence is gold" action. Any tiny action during the drama will have a butterfly effect over time. Eric's "gold is silence" probably came along with his pimp instincts instead of a prepared decision at such sudden confrontation. And as you see at the end(extend it to peter's resourceful link), ex is disgruntled and high possibility that she will try hard ruin the new relationship. current is despaired of you because she expected protection and assertion, which Eric did none of that.

Now before I put myself in there, I'd also like to point out a very important idea that; we have no record of Eric's historic entrepreneurs. i.e. the ex might have been a 3-4 years good time so he was ashamed to not tell her off etc etc and all kinds of factors.

If I were put in there, Ex will be the one who I take with, as far as it goes to leaving the scene. The idea is simple, an ex is an ex, you broke up with her for good but not for back-up stock. We move on bitch, and you have to cut the red knit clean.

lol so much to say.

first off, what does 長腿港女挑機四眼豬扒 mean? long thighs... honger girl?... challenge?... chance?... 4 eyes... uh something to do with a pig/boar... lol what

secondly dace, i can't see it cuz of a loading error, is the URL correct?

third thx for the response, maybe i was jumping to conclusions but it seemed like something that you wouldn't see a white guy do at all, so i was curious.

still love the gibberish annotations in the first vid; and i love how the word "timing" is just like that, borrowed right from English. same in Japanese, too. it's like, why borrow it from English, isn't there a word for it in Japanese/Cantonese/etc. ?

is she really that ugly? i can't tell, but you never know, some girls look cute with glasses. well, her glasses were a bit wide, but w/e.

that ME3 trailer edit is too good, i love how someone made a TIM Shephard, went all the way to Afterlife, and recorded that lol.

well since ME has (unintentionally) infiltrated this thread, maybe i'll change the thread title for fun.
