rtl42 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 idk, i still prefer GG AC, but CS2 isn't that bad... DA2 plz! lol
BagLunch Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) Sometimes I get the feeling that after some years, ArcSys loses license on the recorded voice of the announcer and instead of paying it, they just snag somebody from the office (whoever wins a raffle!) to fill in for it. Like how GGAC got the super-nasal announcer, and then CSII got the lady who is neither properly emotive nor has good (or at least charmingly bad!) pronunciation. EDIT: Wow, GOTO 15 minute mark to see Joker palette for Hazama. CS2 is not so bad after all! Edited March 9, 2011 by BagLunch
BagLunch Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 After you guys play DA2 for a bit I might tell you an interesting insider story about it. But you won't be able to appreciate it until you play DA2.
Clear Sky Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Sometimes I get the feeling that after some years, ArcSys loses license on the recorded voice of the announcer and instead of paying it, they just snag somebody from the office (whoever wins a raffle!) to fill in for it. EDIT: Wow, GOTO 15 minute mark to see Joker palette for Hazama. CS2 is not so bad after all! The announcer in GGAC always reminded me of Norman MacDonald. The Rumble Fish 2 probably is my favorite announcer for any fighting game. The announcer has the right amount of enthusiasm in her voice, and seems to speak perfect English.

Byuusan Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 anyone know a place with free wifi (Hotspot i think it called?). I need to get online with my NDS Lite but i dont ahve wireless at my house. In the worst case, Mike, can i borrow your wireless for a few mins? :p. I think you have wireless internet.
Cardinal_Sin Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZbkTgaNIeU YESSS even has dialog from the game too.
BagLunch Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZbkTgaNIeU YESSS even has dialog from the game too. Seth stomps were way funnier than they had any right to be
BagLunch Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 The Rumble Fish 2 probably is my favorite announcer for any fighting game. The announcer has the right amount of enthusiasm in her voice, and seems to speak perfect English. I liked the Rumble Fish 1 announcer more, but that's probably because the TRF1 announcer had no asian accent whatsoever.
BagLunch Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 oh shi- SnK Raoh lookalike could've killed Hitler, but chose not to
rtl42 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 if i'm not mistaken, the announcers in the BB series are the VAs for some other character in the game, although i don't remember which ones, off-hand.
sweetvids Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 (edited) Wow Liu Wong aka OG Raoh even more hateful towards women than Rei. Rei only tore off a woman's clothes. OG Raoh sliced off a woman's nipples. Still at this point, I'm wondering who the last guy is going to be? HnK it was Raoh, but SnK OG Raoh is already here and according to the wiki after he gets beat he becomes a monk. That can only mean OG Souther or OG Toki. Thank you Gabe. Completely forgot about SnK since there hasn't been an update in a while. Edited March 10, 2011 by sweetvids
Overheat Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 GG's to the guy I played at MetroTown. I played only 4-5 games against your Noel (as Lambda, Tager, Noel). I didn't know it had a CS machine... Was awkward playing stick for the first time, but I got somewhat used to it.
BagLunch Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Making the respec potion something available via DLC in DA2 = lolllll
BagLunch Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 wow doom and mags with repeated air hit canceled into airdash or fly combos.... not even like the current slap -> airdash -> land -> slap -> jc but it looks like slap -> slap -> slap -> slap....
geogaddi Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1b9Xc1p62o&feature=feedf DA DUM DUM DA DUM DUM DA DUM DUM DA DUM DUM
Saru Kada Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 byuusan: yeah sure you can borrow my wireless, I don't really mind if you're looking for a free hotspot though, a lot of starbucks/other generic coffee shops have them these days, you just need to ask the staff for the password. bookstores and libraries and such should as well. gabe: delicious ghetto rom loops for mag. j.7H 33 j.H land j.7H 33 j.H land etc HUA HUA HUA HUA HUA HUA etc etc YOU ARE DEFEATED
rtl42 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 just out of curiosity, for the handful of people here who played the DA2 demo, i was wondering how the gameplay in the actual game compares. is it just like in the demo, or was there anything fixed? (is there a fricking hotkey for the main menu?!)
BagLunch Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 There's the "pause game issue orders" thing you can do by hitting spacebar, and there's the usual slew of menus that start from ESC and their usual hotkeys (J for journal, C for character, I for inventory....)
MrDolphin Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Uh, it's pretty much the same. Fuck respec potion. Unless they disabled those console commands for redoing your character. Then fuck you Bioware.
sweetvids Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 gabe: delicious ghetto rom loops for mag. j.7H 33 j.H land j.7H 33 j.H land etc HUA HUA HUA HUA HUA HUA etc etc YOU ARE DEFEATED Actually ghetto Rom loop is actually pretty hard for your average player. He's super jumping all the reps.
Saru Kada Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 it's not that bad. I only saw people do 2-3 reps in matches anyway, which is pretty much as many as I'd use, then go to ground relaunch. I guess from the viewpoint of an average player it would be pretty hard, especially if you try for 5-7 reps, but after a certain point I don't think you can even combo into shockwave anymore, so it's a moot point. doom's loop doesn't have nearly as much slapping. besides it involves actually hitting them with S again on the ground whereas mags is HUA HUAing all day.
