So this would involve being in either Phoenix or Toronto, Mike? (i'm sure i could just look up which team is the home team but i'm too lazy)

They're playing in GM err Rogers Arena. Mike, I'm very interested.

carelessness or imbalance are better diction rather than BUG. I think from that video it's obvious that the splash damage is applied to certain radius of the unit that's being attacked. So theoretically, if it was two sieged tanks cannon strike that CC while the SCVs are repairing, the they would evaporate in an blink of moment.

now who knows how Blizzard's gonna fix it but I'd say the possible correction is to change the splash ability goes with the unit's actually attack range, explosion.

But it's still better because with ram removed now the ultra can take down both CC AND fucking SCVs that are trying to repaired it at the same time.

hahaha interesting. I didn't know what the effect of the ram being removed was on the gameplay but it makes more sense now, even if it's not necessarily as effective as it is in the video.

yeah ray this is for PHOENIX SUNS vs TORONTO RAPTORS. sorry if I wasn't being clear; I'll edit my post. nobody wants to see the coyotes OR the leafs anyway.

so that's nigel and peter so far. c'mon RAY bball

Hey Mike, Netflix is available now in Canada for PS3 (Americans get it for PS3 next month due to Microsoft exclusivity contract ending next month), there's a free trial for one month attached to it. Can see all the hubbub for this service now I guess. It's available on the What's New part of the XMB to install, it's 19MB.

This isn't really just for Mike, for all PS3 owners anyway.

One thing I found kinda dumb in the new patch is the game timer. You can see the time of the match now. That means no more skill is required. You just look at the clock and see "shit 6 mins, and he's got this, he must be going for this. I have to get this up in the next minute to counter his shit". It's good and bad. Mainly bad, since it makes it easier for noobs.

well that's what the entire game is about, being easier for noobs

clarence, let's be honest, you wouldn't go for just the raptors either. the blue jays would be a different story. I'll count you in for the game too

I hardly ever watch movies at home but I guess I'll keep that in mind

So when you play with a clock on the table, it's OMGHAX?

Well no one ever really does that. I mean honestly, who's going to set up a clock right next to their computer, and have to start the timer manually everytime they start a match? But with it being implemented now makes everything just kinda more lame. Like how people are saying now comes shitty mindgames like delaying an attack by like 2 mins to make the other guy think you're doing something else. Just seems that blizzard is dumbing stuff down even more.

If you have a stopwatch lying around, all you have to do is push the button on it twice... considering all the junk that most people already have laying around their computers, it doesn't seem like much of a stretch. Besides, all the timer says is the time; if people are reading so far into it that delaying an attack by 2 min can ruin them, then that's their fault for chaining all their thinking to the clock. Actually, that sounds hilarious.

For beginners practicing build orders, it's definitely a good thing; think about how the only other way to see if their starting fast enough is to run a practice game, do whatever it is, exit the game, and then load the replay... or keep a stopwatch nearby.

But then again this is coming from the Quake days where quad damage and rune respawn timers eventually became standard features in competition play.

anyone good enough at the game is going to use certain milestones in their own BOs as benchmarks by which to assess their opponents' progress. the timer's just serving as a more accurate version of worker count; instead of switching to dual gate lot pressure when I see the spawning pool coming up at 12-14, I'll do so when the spawning pool comes up at, say, 2:00 instead.

in a roundabout way you can think of the new timer as reinforcing better habits, since if things to degenerate into "mindgames" then there should be a greater emphasis on scouting. hey, can you guess what the number 1 reason everybody loses to ray is?

I spoke with SFU today apparently they don't consider BCIT a school and after speaking with them they have to reevaluate the situation with my BCIT transfer credit. Which if they do not accept any of my BCIT transfer credit, I have to consider other options since it would take longer to complete my BA without said credit.

After work tomorrow I'll drop by Kwantlen.
