Though to be fair a lot of the things that made matchups suck for him have more to do with things other characters got, such as moves that obliterate his ground pokes. Given that Faust isn't getting any other outright new moves, unless Faust gets something stupid like pogo FRC or ludicrous buffs to his normals, the only realistic way his odds are going to improve in the face of that stuff is if that stuff gets nerfed.

Man I am not liking the changes to Venom so far. Just not being able to do 6P to 6H is huge. Ruins pretty much all his damaging combos and set ups. WTF, Nothing noteworthy other than nerfs on Venom and niggers like I-No get another airdash and Dizzy get fish that wallstick and FB 3 spears.

Justice looks kinda neat, but can't ground dash and took away the triple jump and triple airdash, so I don't know about that.
