5B doesn't lead to shit midscreen anymore. Makoto 2A can go from 1 corner to the next with an RC if it needs to. Probably the best stagger pressure move in the game.

Unfortunately, those traps really aren't that strong. If you do read your opponent mashing on neutral, that is certainly a good idea. New Bang is going to have to read into every single failure of your opponent's well, and he does have the tools to punish very odd habits.

Tech traps are great because once you do them your opponent's all like "aw shit he's not going to do that again", then you do it again and he's like "okay that's played out" then you just keep doing it and every time your opponent just keeps thinking that it's the last time you'd use such a conditional gimmick.

I think one of my favorite moments ever, the very first time I played against Render, I was also commentating the match on stream at CUT2.. I hit him with Daifunka and say "Okay now I'm gonna go for the tech trap"

Like, I considered most 6-4 matchups in my favor since people generally don't have Bang experience. And v-13 was even lol

I mean.. that's great for most people, but if you played strong players you should have been torn to pieces by Rachel or Ara or Carl. Those matchups were horrific.
