I'm good man, thanks for the offer. I got it for the Wii because I actually want to use it for something and I have a TvC stick. I also don't plan on playing console casuals either; I'm just trying to learn the game so I can play at Lovegety.

Honestly they should release "Versus Mode and Training Mode Only" versions of popular fighting games for a fraction of the price. I'd buy it.

Also thanks for the anime recommendations, some of the titles you mentioned sound like they'd be right up my alley. I'm always open to watching anime, it's just been super disappointing nearly every time I tried. Code Geass in particular sounds interesting...

Somehow Pui and Nazir stayed in sync with their winstreaks. It was weird watching both the BB and GG machine count up at the same time.

The gety boss really needs to fix the layout. It was really hot in that one corner of the cabs.

Watch "Sword of the Stranger" good movie, sick action (). Gantz is more of a fucked up anime than evangelion (overall true, but I think End of E. is the most f'd up thing ever. Also, Gants manga is likely very much the superior version), don't watch it with other people. The first ep will make it look like you're watching porn. Try the shows "Full Metal Alchemist BROTHERHOOD" () the one in 2005 isn't anything close to brotherhood. And try code geass (), 85% of the stuff I've learned in uni, at least with regards to philosophy I've learned from this show. No joke.

Some are kind of tricky if you don't have time to practice that timing...Slightly delayed instant air dashes...a lot of character specific air stuffs...at least that's how I see it. I could be looking at it all wrong. I just need better sleep before a Friday session ><

I'm pretty sure this post refers to me; I'm trying to identify who the Tager player I played with for a long time and the guy I met towards the end of the night (I can't remember your name, sorry =P) are. I like being referred to as "that random Litchi", though.

Yeah that was Jabir with the IK but he only learned from the master.

Unsanc - Drop less combos. Stop wasting burst for meter on wakeup. Need more mixups. Stop mashing grab on wakeup. Gotta learn the height-specific combos, you're doing the same combo for every height, so you're not actually "dropping" the combo, you're just doing the wrong combo for that height lol. You're also not doing the optimal damage combos off CH etc. Learn all that then you can be fiend.

Roldy - You've been at the same level for the past 3-4 weeks. You're at a limit, figure out how to break it ninja. This game is not just about learning your own character, you also need knowledge of your opponent's character to do well. So might as well try a few other characters.

Leo&Wu - You two are beasting it up, good shit ninjas. I think Wu is actually better in GG than he is in BB now lol.

Pui actually started his streak before me, and then I caught up lol. Btw slayer is not even my main char. :china:

Have to post here again because of some stuff that happened tonight.

Hi Fugu, if you're reading this, I think I recall playing you at the last Anime North CT tournament. I was a Tager player. The Tager player you played today was Mr. Mortified. Thanks for coming out, sorry that no one played afterwards, but most of us were tired after the extensive 39/41 winstreaks on both the BB/GG cabinets.

Stay hungry Akuun, you're doing better in the Tager match-up. Learn from Tim and punish my bad habits, and don't be too reliant on your reversals. Remember you can RC your reversals if you see that they are blocked, and you can also use Lambda's counter assault, which is pretty decent.

Gear was fun. Slayer bonanza. You can see proof that GG is faster than BB because Nazir started his streak at around the 15 win mark for Pui, and Nazir eventually caught up and even went past the BB streak.

On the subject of anime, which I don't really like talking about, since my tastes are very particular (like my tastes in music!), but I admit that I watch a lot:

I had a real good time regardless, I don't know anyone to play in Mississauga so it's just fantastic to not play against a training dummy/The Internet™. Wish it was easier to get there though, it makes the trip very rare...

Ahahaha I STILL keep forgetting to use counter assault. And yeah that dping habit is getting beaten out of me as everyone is baiting and punishing them now.

Need to learn which moves to punish with. There were a bunch of times when I tried to punish something but it got blocked/stuffed instead.

Also code geass and philosophy? Season 1 has some stuff to think about but definitely not season 2.

You were originally just jumping the 2D, but you know you can just gravity my 2D, making me think twice about doing that string again. I don't know if you want to listen to me though, cuz like "wotta scrub" right?

@ Fugu: There are some players in Sauga, but I don't know if they hold casuals or anything.

Also, I don't have a big problem with Blade's recommendations, I just have a problem with that line. Sword of the Stranger is probably the best recommendation on that list for someone who doesn't appreciate anime, since it's a pretty straightforward action movie that doesn't require a large investment in time from the viewer.

lol if you're a scrub then I'm still scrubbier, so I should at least listen. XD

I'm not really sure if that's a good idea because I don't know what tager 5c is (can you jump cancel 5C or choose an alternative that can punish me if I mash dp?), but it's true that I should be thinking of more uses of the dp besides desperation/rage mashing. And I need to work on my reaction times in general because I suck at that.

Akuun I think this means you need to go into training mode or something and figure out the other character's movesets if you want to know what you can and cannot punish.

Tager can only jump cancel 6A and 5A on block. Everything else is not jump cancellable. 5C is when he throws both his hands/fists forward. I use it a lot as a poke. I can simply not cancel it to bait a DP or cancel into 4D, but generally speaking, if I'm autopiloting, I'll be cancelling into unsafe moves. If you have a good read on me (and you did, because you kept jumping the 2D), then you should punish me for trying unsafe blockstrings.
