Zeero Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 He disagrees because if you can only do combos then you're just a training mode scrub, not = auto good player. I disagree with this because if you play May, jump around and mash hs, and do a suprise butt sex OHK every now and then and complete the combo, you'd place pretty high. And valk is fucknutsbrokenlolwtfwhymakethischaracteriamlearninghim
Roldy Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Yeah, I guess May is the exception. Maybe that's why K2 thinks anyone who can do combos = automatic good player. See...if you play Venom...
neorussell Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 I love random thursdays. Sailor Moon Theme, SF Style I'm gonna be going to Ghetty today at around 7p. Hope people show up and early this time. Also, are you guys aware of Calgary Cup? They have BB running in there. I'm thinking about it but that's only if I don't go to NEC cause I know that will fail hard because of organization. NeoRussell
Leo7 Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I've been playing around with him Valk a little. I'm barely competent with him right now so I can't really say if he's that good or not. his "bbu" is an overhead ... lol
AlterGenesis Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 combos auto makes you better than people who cant do combos stay free
Akuun Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Am I missing something here? Both combos and player skill are important. It's best to have both, but in some cases, having one but not the other can still get results. Player who's really good with mixups/mindgames/etc but sucks with combos (lol Dio) = has the skill to get 10 openings on the opponent each round but needs to do so because each opening only nets about 1500 damage. Player who's bad with mixups/mindgames but good with combos = only has the skill to get 3 openings on the opponent each round but can still win because each combo does 4-5k. But you can only get so far with only one or the other. Combos are an easier place to start though because you can get them down on your own in training mode at any time, while getting good overall involves finding and playing other people.
archling Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I break them combos all the times with mah c-c-c-c-c-c-ccc-c-c-ccombo breaker. Also you can get combos at McDs and Burger King and stuff like that. Pro tip.
Roldy Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I'm gonna be going to Ghetty today at around 7p. Hope people show up and early this time. Do you ever come on Fridays? I don't think I've ever seen you yet...
X-Sapphire Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 What? I wanna face a real Tsubaki player... Friday night, it's on.
X-Sapphire Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Actually all the new players don't know how to introduce themself so nobody knows nobody. Respect your elders ninjers... :8/:
K2 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 is just roldy and julien, they just don't talk is ok, thats how they are
DioBrando Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 roldy's quiet yo because he's a beast. He always ask people to come to gety, being friendly like "Come more often" and then BAM he decimates his foe. He's a hungry wolf luring bunnies into his play only to beat them in BB.
mr.mortified Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I don't talk when I'm at gety.... Then again I'm barely even there~
kumori Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 What? I wanna face a real Tsubaki player... The only difference between us is he spams j.214D all day long. Then theres Sapphire, who is better at Tsubaki then Ragna.
Zeero Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I think the real Tsubaki player is actually me. Remember how I won that tournament with tsubaki vs litchi? what jabir what?
mr.mortified Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 hooray, does that mean you're going to gety today then?
