I'm not sure what to do against Mu and Lambda except rushdown, rushdown, rushdown. Ray - Nice A.B.A.! I need to get better at that matchup. And I really don't think Baiken vs. Millia is as bad as you think. Millia's too good at baiting and punishing counters and throwing Baiken for the matchup to be too much in Baiken's favor. Looking at the matchup threads, the general consensus from the better players seems to be something around even -- if either character gets their momentum going, they can win (as with so many GG matches). Vince - I think I might have been wrong about Eddie being able to poke out of WT setups. For some reason, I was thinking I could WT you on the 5th frame after blockstun, which would beat your 5f poke, but I think all characters have 5 frames of throw invulnerability after leaving blockstun, so I don't think I can WT you until frame 6. So, you can poke out of a perfectly timed WT setup; it's just 1f timing. Sorry about the misinformation. =/
Chumaralupa Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 Luke, glad you could make it. You were playing right for the most part with Tsubaki, she is a pressure/rushdown character. I can't comment on how I felt playing against you with Lambda since that was the first day I really tried playing her a lot in real matches, but keep in mind that she doesn't always have a DP, so you can take that into consideration. As for Mu, you were definitely playing it right but TBH I NEVER DP that much usually but I really felt like it would hit you. I'm not sure how many people with DP's you play against in GG much but everybody and their mothers have DP's/DP-like moves in BB so it's something to really pay attention to. Nearing the end you were trying to teach me that you noticed my total abuse of the aforementioned, but I was still able to sneak a few in there FTW. Just remember to keep your 5B spacing on wake-up, and MU's DP in particular is a short range so you can work around that as well. If you want to try the Lambda match-up some more just play Vince. As for Tsubaki in general, you seem to prefer to play her quite differently than me, which is no way a bad thing, but my only comment is that you shouldn't do 236 at all unless it's in a combo or you have at least 50% to RC it cause that shit is negative on block no matter which version you use. Ray I gotta do some homework right now, but if there's Melty tonight, let me know. I can pick you up and drive since i have no idea where that guy's house is.
