Ryuuka Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Unless you're a scrub like Ray who refuses to IK people. :p
Chumaralupa Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 Ah I see Dan, anyways I'm out of the state for just a few months for personal/career advancement reasons. But yeah I'll definitely look forward to seeing your new place if you are able to host there.
Greyvangelist Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 You're gone for a few months? What the fuck, I thought it was just like a week or something : ( Can you grow out your hair/beard/both while you're gone? I want you to surprise me when you come back to AZ.
Synthesis Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 In respect to F:UC. I kind of want to learn how to play someone good, but then I realize that Bazett is my love and I won't give it up. But for serious. Is anyone else here excite for Arcana Heart 3? I'm probably gonna order that shit from Japan ASAP.
Chumaralupa Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 But for serious. Is anyone else here excite for Arcana Heart 3? I'm probably gonna order that shit from Japan ASAP. Me and Ray are, we'll play with ya once I get back to AZ.
Spiteful Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Ah I see Dan, anyways I'm out of the state for just a few months for personal/career advancement reasons. But yeah I'll definitely look forward to seeing your new place if you are able to host there. I approve Dan: oh man.... hosting on the 15th? I'm probably leaving on the 15th :O No way to move that up 1 week? Or move it up 1 day? or move it up at all? lol
Ky-Sama Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Late to the party, but I too do not just care for GG... I play Marvel, SF III: 3rd strike, Puzzle Fighter, SF ex series, other Capcom titles; and I also play a single player game now and then (non-Capcom/fighters)... but all of these game are played on somewhat rare occasions because of work... and life... MH is hosting on the 15th? That's great, perhaps me and my sister can make it (not that we're important or anything).
Synthesis Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Ky-Sama, "not that we're important or anything" should be your signature. It's in every post you guys post that involves yourself attending some sort of event. Just something I've noticed.
Theupstreamer Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 No Ted, we've all noticed it. Seriously though, if we only invited "important" people, it would seriously just be me and a clone of myself there playing GGAC. ;D
TI83 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 ray lets be honest here if you had a clone of yourself the last thing you would end up doing is playing gg
NitroVortox Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I play other games as well, I've been on SSFIV and raging because of not being able to combo well. ONE FRAME SUCKER, THAT'S ALL YOU GET. Learning Guy and Makoto, because I like a challenge. The only thing I'm truly excite for is PSO2, which is Phantasy Star Online 2. Loved the original and still play it to this day.
Theupstreamer Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 The only thing I'm truly excite for is PSO2, which is Phantasy Star Online 2. Loved the original and still play it to this day. It's like we're friends all of a sudden. Do you play on schthack or something? PSU?
milesokeefe Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Spiteful - NO U LEAVE A DAY LATER :D ... but, if you *have* to go back to Flagstaff the very first day of a three day weekend, I guess you have to go back. I'd host this weekend, but I've stuff to do, including repairing a drawer that I put off repairing over winter break - and I really want it fixed before I contact the landlord about our apparent leak in the downstairs bathroom. Chumaralupa - Good luck and life experience, man! Synthesis - I'm hype, but thanks to the move I'm gonna be too poor to get a PS3 and AH until February. It's just too frivolous a thing for me to tap into my savings over D:
NitroVortox Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 It's like we're friends all of a sudden. Do you play on schthack or something? PSU? Both. I've played BB on a couple private servers and I own the GC one. I played PSU:AotI as well for a bit, as long as my wits could handle my slow as heyul computer. Didn't get very far though. PC servers shut down, so I guess I'll never play it again.
Ryd' Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 PC servers shut down, so I guess I'll never play it again. You just reminded me and made me incredibly sad. But then, PS:P2 is pretty amazing.
NitroVortox Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I haven't had a chance to play the PSP ones, because I don't own a PSP. <_> I've heard that it's what PSU was supposed to be. As for the PC servers shutting down on PSU, you could always play on *giggle* 360. I'm still mad that we haven't gotten anything from PSO2 besides a freaking title screen. Oh, and some vague details.
Ryd' Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I don't have a 360, nor was I inclined at all to have to restart from scratch. PSP2 is a pretty amazing step forward though, and PSP2i is looking even better.
Synthesis Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Is Phantasy Star worth playing? I heard it was terrible because you had to change your staves in order to use different spells, and that's kind of dumb. It's like the retard's version of maxing out spells in FFXI.
Theupstreamer Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 That's a weird thing to complain about. You bind spells onto your weapons (if you used spells) and then you switch between your weapons. You also get damage bonuses depending on whether or not everything on a single weapon is the same element. There's plenty of other reason's to complain about that game. You don't really grind levels, you only grind spells and bullets. You have to get them all to like at least 21+ (or 31+ for rifles so that they knockdown) and it can take a long time. I thought it was worth playing though because I had fun and the whole point is looking for cool equips. I would compare it to Monster Hunter honestly.
Ryd' Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 It depends on the Phantasy Star game. PSU/PS:P weren't much like MH at all since you had no control over defensive outside of positioning, and nothing in the game was a real threat except attacks that could proc death. PS:P2 is more like MH in that almost everything can rape the shit out of you if you don't know what you're doing, but it gets easier faster depending on your class/race and how quickly you can adapt to enemies and utilize rolling/guarding. As for gear; yeah, you bind skills to your weapons. One skill to a melee weapon. Ranged weapons only have adjustable ammo that passively enhances shots (normally element in PSU/PS:P), but PS:P2 added charged shots which are used for breaking chains and inflicting heavier damage, type of shot (splash, penetrating, multi-hit, etc.) varies with weapon. 2-4 spells bound to a casting weapon depending on what you use (wands/t-mags get 2, rods get 4), but you don't need access to your entire repertoire at once since the average mission only has enemies of 2-3 elements. Spells have different traits and utility uses (single hit, ranged AoE, AoE around caster, penetrating, knocks down, blows away, homing, etc.), but are the weakest overall option in PS:P2 due to clashing with the new battle mechanics. Fixed in the expansion though, where they're looking pretty godlike.
Ryuuka Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) I wonder if ihop would do one of these... Not that I'd ever order it or anything. Also Ruben, you should tell Sushi-Ko to start doing these. Edited January 6, 2011 by Ryuuka
Zeromus_X Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I wonder if ihop would do one of these... I think I just got diabetes from watching this video.
Chumaralupa Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Well I know what I'm doing next time I go to KFC. That girl is gonna get fat, toooooo baaaad.
Synthesis Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I'll consider getting it then. Would you recommend it? I generally trust your tastes, Carlos, so if it's good I'll consider trying it out. In other news, I've been playing tons of Xenosaga over this break. Currently at the end of the third game and I must say that the game gets more epic the second time you play through it. So many new things you discover about the story, although I'm upset they canceled the series. It was supposed to be 6 games long, so the gap between 2 and 3 just seems awkward because there should have been a game inbetween them. I dunno. I'm going to actually play through all of Xenogears when I'm done, but I gotta purchase a new disc 2. Any suggestions for games after Xenogears? I was thinking of playing Sakura Wars because it looks great.
