Oh dang, I thought Shadow came up with that trap tech, but I guess all the Naoto's are in the know. It's a pretty mean trap heh.

God damn, if the Shoryuken community actually likes Skullgirls and it's more or less an anime fighter I might have to learn a char at somebody's house just to play with them.

Oh right, Skullgirls is coming out in like... a week or so, right? Although, even if it's good, I doubt it'll be able to hold you long enough until P4U comes out.

And just because the thought amused me, friend of mine was talking about a UMvC3X. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard

It's not so much "Looking Poverty" rather, it just seems so bland in comparison to everything we're getting these days. There's nothing about the game that I feel like I can't experience by playing any other fighting game.

Of course that's an objective outlook on the game, on a personal level I'm just pissed that people give Melty and Arcana so much shit for having a mainly (or all) female cast, but now that Skullgirls is doing it, it's ok, just because it's American made. TBH the art in skullgirls is kinda ugly, and that's being nice. I just hate how biased people act towards these kinds of things, I wish people would give games a chance before talking shit about them.

Ted, you said you're having those gatherings at AIAB every Wednesday? I can't make it tomorrow since it's short notice, but I'm going to try to make it next week if it's still happenin'. Jimmy said he'd tag along and I have two spots left if anyone else wants to come.

YOU CAN COME TO MY HOUSE RUBEN

Yayyyyyy

Silly Marq, Aquapazza comes out June 28th, that'll hold me over till P4U

I knew I was forgetting a game. But yeah, I agree with you on the Skullgirls analysis there. Gotta love America

Ray said he will come.

Sounds like it's going to have one thing I know only one other game to have - decent netcode. I *really* appreciate good netcode.

Oh well. Here's hoping Guilty Gear has decent netcode! I've been looking forward to a game I can stand to play with you guys for a long time.

^^ You should really just play locally rather than online. And even online, I STILL play Arcana online with people from California, so it's not an issue. xD

But yeah. Very nice analysis Ruben. I never thought of that before.

I could really use some offline play right now. Just inject it into my bloodstream or something

Wanna play some Arcana with me online today? I'm free until 5PM

To be fair, it's only so often that we see commercially-made American games that aren't composed of hideous over-detailed CG modeling and an intense sense of machismo.

...I don't know why the female cast matters with those games specifically. Call me when they make a nice girly-fighter without flooding it with pre-pubescence.

I'll probably be there for a bit after I get out of the lab. I think Brian and Ray will be there too, if they want to pain themselves with more Tales of Xillia hard mode.

So, we had a really nice turnout today for Blazblue, Melty Blood and Arcana. More than 10 people; I don't have exact numbers. =D You guys coming down sometime?

Dear Ted:

Ted, you said you're having those gatherings at AIAB every Wednesday? I can't make it tomorrow since it's short notice, but I'm going to try to make it next week if it's still happenin'. Jimmy said he'd tag along and I have two spots left if anyone else wants to come.

Love, Ruben.

I love you too Ruben.

As for Blazblue, most of the people were there for blaz, but remember they are like, brand new to fighters in general. If you were to come down for blaz, your main competition would be me, Darell, Tom (he's okay) and like, maybe one or two other people.

For Melty, main competition will be me, Darell, Jorell (to an extent)

For Arcana, it will be Me, Darell, Tom.

I know this doesn't really benefit you guys all that much to come down for 1-2 players, but these new players are extremely interested in the games: I had people actually asking me what is a good arcana choice for certain characters as well mechanic questions like, how to hone etc.... what EF was and so on. So they're new, but eager to learn. So the main benefit of you guys coming down would be for showing support: the other players would be shown some out of town players and would get hype for other things related to that. So you should come. >:3 I'll play Platinum

Who are the other two people? Is one of them FireMage777. :X
