You're missing your motherboard, but yeah that sounds more realistic. That would bring the actual price down to around 1.1-1.3k which is more reasonable, but 500+ in monitors and peripherals is still a lot. The key is to gather parts during holidays and clearance sales. During last black friday, I got a 128gb SSD for 150 off newegg, 16gb of ram for 30, and another 23" LCD from frys for 100. Just because it's your money doesn't mean you shouldn't always take advantage of good deals.

Waiting for deals on parts is great, but if you need to build a computer and aren't just upgrading, it can be a very VERY bad idea. You wont even be able to check if anything works unless you have most of parts. Finding out that something defective after the return period can really suck. I suppose it depends on the return policies for the store/website. What can I say? I'm paranoid, impatient, or maybe both.

We established in the past that we're all pretty terrible at basketball except for Vince and Dan.

I don't really see a reason for building a top-end system from scratch aside from being able to play the shiniest newest FPS on mind-blowingly-ultra-realistic settings. I just think it's way too cost-inefficient, especially when technology moves on as fast as it does. Your top-end stuff is only going to be on top for a few months at best, and then something else is going to come along and replace it. It's much easier to just roll with a decent setup that will last for a year or two and just replace the parts that bottleneck you as you get to them.

I wanna play lots o' Persona, but you can play some BB if anyone will play with you, and I'm sure someone will bring GG.

I can't get into Persona that much, dunno why. I guess after seeing BB Summit this past weekend, shit just got real. These players are so crazy good. I'll still play some Persona though.

I bowled a 235 last Wednesday =\

Nobody plays as much BB as me these days. I feel alone.

I leave for California that Friday though. Ruben, my shipment for California is coming in soon. It has Yui. Enjoy.

Yeah, so my new address is 7250 S Kyrene Rd. Tempe AZ 85283 Apt 330

basially take Guadalupe/Elliot to Kyrene and go south/north respectively, if you use mapquest or something it'll tell you to take the entrance on Kyrene, what you actually wanna do is take Grove parkway which is basically the only light right smack between Elliot and Guadalupe and go West on it (the only option) and then make the first left into the first set of apartments, any uncovered spot is fine. If you can't find parking there then you'll have to go in the main entrance on Kyrene and find some parking to the right.

I have 4 monitors still, but it's going to be a little tighter than the house (of course), but I had 7 people after the last hazbats over and it wasn't that bad plus nobody was even using the table so we'll see how well it works out.

Please bring a couple of consoles and as many sticks as possible.

Rath, bring that legendary computer to my place.

Were you serious? I assumed you were handy with computers, considering all of the monitors you had handy. I want to make sure I'm not misinterpreting anything.

I'm just at a loss right now. I've done everything that I am comfortable doing myself. Just tried my rig out using my brother's PSU and I still can't get it to do anything. You guys trying to help over dustloop is appreciated, but I'm at the point where I think someone needs to help me out in person.

Ruben probably wasn't kidding, he's got a heart of gold and he's a computer whiz like the fucking Squid from Rocket Power.

Yeah Ryan you can bring the computer over if you're able, but TBH if you built it yourself you can probably troubleshoot it just fine, but I can take a look if you want. Dead mobos are just..... oh god.... I'll end up taking the whole thing apart before I make a verdict on that piece.
