Chumaralupa Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Douchebaggery aside, I'll just bring a monitor to make you happy.
Greyvangelist Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I like P4A! I just never got around to learning it and probably never will now.
Chumaralupa Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Speaking of things you like Mehraj, did you play through Halo 4 yet? We can do Co-op campaign if you want at my place, I haven't started it yet. Apparently the campaign is only like 6 hours long.
Greyvangelist Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I borrowed it from my brother-in-law today but haven't got a chance to play it yet. I'm totally down though. I also picked up the new Hitman and Dishonored. This will be a good break.
Chumaralupa Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) You can't play on live right? Well if you're free tomorrow night we could play through as much as possible AFTER VENEZIAS. So after months of working on it slowly I finally finished 12 out of 13 of the character's challenge 30 in P4A and I was wondering how many of them some of you guys might have finished and how long it took you and any tricks you might have used along the way. my ranking from most difficult/took the longest to the easiest/shortest time is: 1. Chie - Not Happening Anytime Soon (I don't know what Arcsys was thinking with this one, I have no idea how anyone is supposed to do this, it's the only one I haven't been able to beat yet) 2. Kanji - 6 - 7 hours (I didn't expect this one to be so hard, I did it early on because I thought I could do it easily but I was mistaken. There are a couple of variations of the combo you can do but they're both very link heavy which aren't easy to hit visually. This is the only one I couldn't do in one sitting) 3. Mitsuru - 4 - 5 hours (I figured this would be hard for me personally, I'm sure anyone who enjoys charge chars could have done it quicker. The only hard links are the last Coup Droit and doing the super ASAP after the OMB without being able to see your character, luckily it's not that hard to get the buffer timing into muscle memory) 4. Yu Narukami - 2 hours (Hitting the timings on the moves so that your super lands them behind you is tricky but eventually becomes consistent, the hard part lies in hitting what feels like 2-3 frame links after the super twice in the same combo) 5. Aigis - 1.5 - 2 hours (There are two ways to do this combo, whoever made the alternate way was trying too hard and was the only "alt" way that was more difficult than the Atlus demo, the only tricky parts of this combo are getting the first super to consistently hit, hitting them as they launch up, and getting the last air vulcan cannon bullets to hit) 6. Teddie - 1 hour (The sad part about this combo is that it's just his bnb after a fatal counter circus ball with another linked super at the end which you need to manually detonate with a timing, most of this time was spent setting up the 13th drop (rage potion) for yourself and putting the enemy in fear before starting the combo, which was really tedious. BTW I didn't know rage status gave you more damage) 7. Yosuke - 1 hour (I honestly thought this was going to be very tough for me, but it was actually a lot easier than I thought. There's an alternate corner combo version posted on Youtube that I used, after that it was just a matter of getting a rhythm down which is a lot easier to do for this type of combo since you're constantly pushing buttons without any long breaks) 8. Naoto - 45 minutes (I had to learn how to do an SMP loop, then how to SMP off of fatal counter raid super, but pretty easy) 9. Yukiko - 45 minutes (I had to re-learn how to maragi loop, then I had to figure out why I was always off by about 300 damage, make sure that the last A Agi's fireball hits them as low as possible before the first super hits, or else you'll be just under the requirement like I was many many times) 10. Shadow Labrys - 25 minutes (There are like 4 different ways of doing this combo, just keep doing it till you accidentally land the super twice, it'll happen) 11. Elizabeth - 15 - 20 minutes (This should have been swapped with her challenge 26 which I spent about 2 hours on, just learn a Liz BnB and this is some fucked up version of it off of a Maragidyne, the sad part is that the hardest part of the combo is landing her 5B when they're falling to the ground) 12. Labrys - 15 - 20 minutes (You can cheat on this so it makes it very easy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FD4NR5EN51s just hit that 5AA while they're falling from the first super and you're golden) 13. Akihiko - 10 minutes (To think the same people who thought up this challenge thought of Chie's 30. It took me 9 minutes to figure out what they were doing after the OMB and 1 minute to do the combo successfully) Any of you have any differing opinions on who's were harder/easier? I'm going to hopefully become Sako one day and beat Chie's 30. Edited November 12, 2012 by Chumaralupa
Ryuuka Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 0 here. I did however finish about 3 characters' challenges in FUC.
Theupstreamer Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I did chun li's challenge modes in sf4 and super, so you guys can suck it.
Ryuuka Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 For a real challenge, try beating FTL. That game is almost impossibly hard.
Theupstreamer Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 God job on somehow not mentioning Dark Souls. I felt it coming on and you proved me otherwise.
Ryuuka Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I wanted to, but that game isn't actually hard.
KosukeKGA Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 One time in high school I almost beat Kaizo Mario World 1 without any savestates. Almost. It was a long week before I gave up x) --- I only did some of Yu's challenges then just looked at combo movies
Ryuuka Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Cheyne that's way too hardcore. omg I remember trying this. The 70 bombs they give you are not enough. Edited November 12, 2012 by Ryuuka
ZeroKunoichi Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Tried Ragna's challenge in CT couldn't do it.
LegendaryRath Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 The next time we get together somewhere, can we pop in some BlazBlue for a while? I've been having tons of fun lately, sucking with Hakumen. It would be nice to suck offline as well. Kanji's challenge 30 was a real bitch. Even after playing him for months, it still took me over 30 minutes. Getting that fully charged 2C is harder than you would think. Later I made my own combo that's much easier (for me at least) but still needs that 2C starter.
Orrax Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I have done zero challenge 30s. I have tried doing speed runs through Cave Story's Hell level, but I never did very well. Watching people do speed runs with minimum hp and equips far faster than I could ever do it with max hp/equips is just . Anyway, PCP today some time after noon? How late are you guys planning on staying there? I need to go down to ASU's library anyway so I was planning on stopping by, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to get there.
Greyvangelist Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Just getting through Hell in Cave Story was fucking hell, let alone trying to speed run it :V I'll probably be there around 2.
Orrax Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Just getting through Hell in Cave Story was fucking hell, let alone trying to speed run it :V Yeah, my "I didn't do very well" is something of an understatement. Damn angels in the 2nd room was usually what got me killed, or at least mostly killed. The rest of the level at least had a pattern to it.
Zeromus_X Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I'll be over at PCP around 2. I'll bring BB and P4A if you want to play those Ryan.
Robawtninja Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I've only done Akihiko's challenge 30 which was easy peasy. Since you've done almost all of them I wanna try.
Chumaralupa Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Brian what's FTL? Ryan which combo did you do for Kanji> The TK j.214B ender one? I tried that for awhile but it was actually harder to hit than the j.B 2B one. Now I wanna watch Cave Story vids.
Theupstreamer Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Brian might be talking about faster than light.
LegendaryRath Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Eric, BB please! I've actually been bored of Arena lately. I'd rather play a game where I suck. The Kanji combo I found easier was something along the lines of (I don't have the game in right now) (fully charged) 2C > 2B > 5C >OMB > 2C > 5B > 2B > 5C > 5B > 2B > 236B > 2A > 5B > 2B > 5C > 5B> 2B > 236B~214B > 236236A (2 hits) > OMC > 214214C It's pretty easy once you get the timing for the second 5B > 2B after each 5C EDIT: this one works too and is arguably much easier so you don't have to catch them after the burst with 2C. ... (fully charged) 2C > 5B > 2B > 5C > 5B > 2B > 236B > 2A > 5B > 2B > 5C > 5B > 2B > 236B~214B > OMB > 5C > 236B~214B > 236236A (2 hits) > OMC > 214214C Edited November 13, 2012 by LegendaryRath
LegendaryRath Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Thanks for letting me tag along. That place was almost as cool as Ruben's house. As far as the movie went, I thought it was excellent. I think I teared up a little when he smashed the cart. And while I did consider that twist ending to be a possibility before it happened, it wasn't very obvious for me. Ray, I guess I'm an idiot like Ruben.
Valthazeryus Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I see everybody is the same, including DoubleRath. Anyways, Arakune nerf too fucking good. During curse meter, if bug hits you (maybe normals as well), it drains at least 1/4 to 1/3 of his total meter. This game got me interested again.
