Dipstick Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Self-esteem? When I started playing, people would tell you that they were going to kill your whole family -- and they were standing right next to you, not behind some keyboard. This is one of those situations where everyone looks foolish: neither player looked good, and you pretty much never get anything intelligent from the stream monsters during the event. I should chill out a bit though, what I'm expecting from people a month in is a bit much (as I was told multiple times popping off drunk in Philly... and once I sobered up, I realized they were right). I'm not going to lie though, after watching some of the games at NEC I want to play more BB. I can't possibly play worse than that, can I... actually, I just did. D:

Greyvangelist Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I told Jimmy I was going to murder him and cut his fat off, then make a fat suit out of it and be a maid for his family a la Mrs. Doubtfire, but I never did it.

Ryuuka Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I'm surprised anyone in the fgc even knows what self-esteem is. If you want to feel good about yourself, why would you want to play games where you're never actually good enough?
ZeroKunoichi Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 (edited) When is the US release of BB:CP coming out? Nevermind it's Spring of next year. Also, bullying.... I remember the days with RAGER TAGER at Gameworks LMAO Edited December 10, 2013 by ZeroKunoichi

If you want to feel good about yourself, why would you want to play games where you're never actually good enough? The corollary to that is if there's always someone better than you, then there's always someone else worse than you.
Chumaralupa Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 The corollary to that is if there's always someone better than you, then there's always someone else worse than you. Wouldn't both of those statements be false? At the worst, you would be tied for best in the world at a game. I could say some horrible things for the other side of the spectrum, but I won't.
Valthazeryus Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Why isn't this an official move in Jin's movesets?
Rei-Inari Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Why isn't this an official move in Jin's movesets? This needs to become a real move in the next game!
Orrax Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Wouldn't both of those statements be false? No, assuming they are inductive and not deductive. That is, they are probably true, but not necessarily true. Sorry, my background in formal logic rears its ugly head every now and then.

Orrax Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I looked it up. It sounds like a retelling of And Then There Were None. Unfortunately, murder mysteries and formal logic don't typically have that much to do with each other. Or is Umineko different? It sounds like it might be interesting, though; I'll look into it if I have time.
Ryuuka Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Uh oh. You know Ted wrote his college thesis about Umineko, right?
Loli Bacon Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 THEY KNOW. Also, if I were an English major, I definitely would have. As it stands, I'm currently writing a final paper on it for my Science Fiction Study class. I'm using it as well as the metaphors used within it in terms of alternate realities/virtual realities in modern day science fiction.
Valthazeryus Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) Science fiction should only be about squrrielgirls + tentacles. To you, Vince. RIP in peace, Vince. And more of this stuff. Edited December 11, 2013 by Valthazeryus
Theupstreamer Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Bullet should be a part of the funkadactyls
