Chumaralupa Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 The gauntlet has been thrown. Time to grind those 5 minute combos again.
Bearell Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Under Night in Melty? Ray's hard work is showing some results. I'm down with sacrificing dinner for a melty tourney.
Angelic Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I'll sign up for Melty especially if it goes Xrd -> Melty at the end.
H-F Blade Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 For this month's tourney, I should be able to attend considering there's no major holiday coming up for a while. Since I have weekends off, any time is fine with me. Â A Melty tourney next month? Guys, isn't it a little early for April Fool's? I won't believe it until I see it. Though the thought of it has me excited, I'm not looking forward to another PC tourney. Time to go 0-2 due to input lag. I miss the PS2 days when this wasn't a problem. Also, as a general rule of thumb, don't believe anything that anyone says about me regarding Melty. It's only true when it comes from me. Â @Ray: I manged to pick up TT.......MBHDR off a recent holiday sale on XBL for bargain bin price. Hit me up with a friend request if you ever wanna play online for the lolz.
Omegashrimp Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Rath, they'll only break your heart. Give them an inch and they'll drive 3.3 miles to the nearest Venezia's.
Dipstick Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Can I enter the Melty tournament twice? Â I like the Casuals > Casuals > Casuals setup, myself. Â Best setup is best setup. Â Man, you said the same stuff at Evo... or is that your excuse for losing to Lord Knight, who hasn't played the game in about 12 years? Â You also said similar things the couple of times you had to play on arcade cabinets, as well. If you actually go 0-2 you're going to be stuck playing 100 games of you know what the next time you're over here.

If you actually go 0-2 you're going to be stuck playing 100 games of you know what the next time you're over here. And similarly, I haven't played the game in like, 12 years either! And fyi Carlos and Tempered BOTH agreed that there was input lag on the stream setup back at Evo. Hell, back at WT15, you AND Tempered both agreed that the sticks were off. lol So get your facts straight. Also, why are you asking to enter the Melty tournament twice, or even, AT ALL? This is an AZ tournament, and you defected to Norcal remember? No room for frauds here. I'm also curious as to what exactly the "you know what" is in this context. You've made so many empty threats with an endless supply of "you know whats" that I've lost track. :|
Theupstreamer Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Oh shit   I will try and have my Crescent Arc straightened out by february but that character is tough to get used to, but from the looks of it in matches she sort of just plays herself
Chumaralupa Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 You also said similar things the couple of times you had to play on arcade cabinets... Â I hope these were positive things, The one chance I got to play MB (the current one) on a cab in Japan was the smoothest that game's ever felt, I don't actually believe that the game runs as perfect as it was meant to on PC. My wish to get a PS3 port will sadly, never come to fruition.

Angelic Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Aoko still one of my favorite characters to watch in games period that chick super crazy
Carnotaur Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Hey Tucson people, Â I'm looking forward to meeting you guys at Maker House this Thurs and receiving some solid beat-downs. But since I've never been to one of these things, I was wondering what games will be there and should I bring a setup? Any other advice for someone who's never played outside their own house?
Theupstreamer Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Don't kid yourself. You know you're just going to default C-Seifuku and F-Aoko.  If there was money on the line I probably would, but if this is free like all the other tournaments I just want to style on someone just once
Chumaralupa Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 If this happens, I'm just going to release the Doritos. Then I'll bring bags of Doritos to give people when they lose to me, so that they have an incentive to lose to me. Unless they don't like Doritos. Then I'm fucked.
Rei-Inari Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Hey Tucson people, Â I'm looking forward to meeting you guys at Maker House this Thurs and receiving some solid beat-downs. But since I've never been to one of these things, I was wondering what games will be there and should I bring a setup? Any other advice for someone who's never played outside their own house? There's only like 3 Tucson people that play anime games really, and only 2 check this thread with any sort of consistency and that would be me and Orrax (Luke)Â
Orrax Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Hey Tucson people,  I'm looking forward to meeting you guys at Maker House this Thurs and receiving some solid beat-downs. But since I've never been to one of these things, I was wondering what games will be there and should I bring a setup? Any other advice for someone who's never played outside their own house?  I'm not sure how many people playing anime games will be there -- it'll most likely be the Street Fighter crowd, a bunch of Smash players, and maybe me and maybe Loli Bacon (Ted). If I'm there, I'll bring a setup with Xrd, P4U, and UNIEL (I will have BBCP as well, but... honestly, I'm pretty much done with that game). There will likely be extra Xrd setups, as the Street Fighter people have been playing it.  That said, I haven't seen any of the Street Fighter players post on Facebook about casuals at Maker House this Thursday yet, so I can't guarantee they'll be there. They usually are there, though.
Ryd' Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Chie: -5A now -2 or -3 Â Would have preferred seeing meteors replaced with something more appropriate for the character type, but this is good.
LegendaryRath Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Looks like everything is set for this month's AZ Air Assault. Info is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1374943512811113/?ref_notif_type=plan_user_joined&source=1 Â Â Chie: -5A now -2 or -3 Â Would have preferred seeing meteors replaced with something more appropriate for the character type, but this is good. Â 5A being +1 wasn't important imo. I can't name a single strong chie who relies on 5A pressure. Hopefully she is more viable next version because other characters are getting toned down. Chie is way too fair this version.
Ryd' Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 You'd have had to play Yukiko at some point. I'm still bitter.
LegendaryRath Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Yukiko's answers for 5A stagger were exactly the same as half the cast's. It wasn't just her. It was any character that didn't have a 5 frame 5A.
Chumaralupa Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 They're trying their hardest to make Aigis as fair as possible as well, but they'll probably underestimate her true power once again. I hope they make Teddy D-tier.
Valthazeryus Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 http://shoryuken.com/2015/01/06/strong-japanese-persona-players-planning-las-vegas-trip-should-ultimax-make-evo-2015-lineup/  ...four notable players from the island nation are very interested in visiting Evo 2015 to play Ultimax, including ARC REVOLUTION CUP 2014’s respective first and second place finishers Mad and Souji. On top of that, Tahichi (who bowed out at fifth during the same tournament) and DIE-chan have also made similar claims.  When's Mui?
