Everything's set for the next AZ Air Assault. The date is Saturday December 27th. All of the information is on the event page on facebook, so please let me know there if you're going!

I expect a lot of people to show up so we'll be using BOTH rooms 201 and 202, probably with tournament matches in one room, and casuals in the other.

The event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/684984281622162/?source=1

A copy of all the information is listed below.

This is the monthly event for Anime fighting games in Arizona. There will be tournaments and casuals all day for all of the games listed below. Remember, this is a FREE event. There is no venue fee or entry fee! Stop by to practice, to learn, to compete, and show everyone what you're made of!

The event will be located at UAT (University of Advancing Technology) in rooms 201 and 202 on the second floor of the main building (the building closest to Baseline road). Just follow the sound of arcade sticks and you should be good.

I will be there by 1:00pm setting up the stream. Feel free to stop by then for casuals before the first tournament, and throughout the day.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING SETUPS FOR CASUALS. The more the merrier.

Games will be:
-2:00pm, Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- [PS3]
-5:00pm, Persona 4: Ultimax [PS3]
-7:00pm, Under Night in-Birth Exe:Late [PS3]

There is no BlazBlue event scheduled this time because of limited time and all of the work that goes into running just a few tournaments. Please feel free to bring a setup for BB casuals. If there are enough people interested, then I won't mind running BB again in the future.

Format/Rules (all tournaments):
-double elimination
-all matches are 2 out of 3 wins
-grand finals is 3 out of 5 wins
-regarding disconnecting controllers, paused matches, etc. it's up to the players what happens. I don't think anyone here is going to make a scene because your controller disconnected, especially since there's no money on the line.

Regarding which console Guilty Gear Xrd will be run on, it makes the most sense to stick with the PS3 for now. Although some people own it on PS4, most people do not, and as a result we will have more PS3 setups available. Furthermore, PS3 fightsticks will not run on PS4, but PS4 sticks can run on either. Please don't worry about any differences between the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game. They are completely identical, the only difference being that the PS4 version runs at a slightly higher resolution. They are both a consistent 60fps.

All games will be run on PlayStation 3. If you use an xbox stick or pad, I'm sure you will be able to borrow a PS3 stick or controller for your matches. We're all pretty good guys, so just ask.
Please note that this is a tentative schedule. I'm not absolutely certain that each tournament will be completed within two or three hours. This is just a ballpark estimate of times for now. Please show up early for the tournament(s) you plan on entering so I can set up the brackets and ensure it runs somewhat smoothly. If you show up after the tournament starts and the bracket has been finalized, there wont be anything I can do. PLEASE BE ON TIME!

I'm going to reiterate that this is a FREE event. No money is involved with admission or entering tournaments. There aren't any tournament pots or prizes. I'm just working part time and can't really afford to throw any more money at these events than I already have. In the future I'll look into the possibility of some sponsors/donations and maybe we can have some small prizes that way.

If you have any questions or concerns, respond to the facebook event, or let me know here. I'll do my best to answer any questions and help in any way I can.

Unfortunately I can't make it to the tourney on the 27th since I'll be out of town visiting family. So I guess I'll have to sit this one out. A pity because it's the first Xrd tourney and it sounds like it will be huge.

I'll try to make it to TGZ tonight. Will additional PS3s be needed? If so I can bring one.

GGs in Xrd at TGZ last night. Also, Elph mirrors are funny. :X

@TagAnarchy: GGs in the short UNIEL session. I'll need to brush off the rust or I'll be overtaken.

Will's Byakuya is hella legit. Luckily I still love the game.

UAT is usable for December 7 and 21.

Is this still true Jimmy? I was hoping to play there with Justin S. and Mehraj and anyone else who wants to show.

Alright, dudebros. I'll see you after 6:30. I'll try to stay as long as possible, but I have no idea how long that will actually be.

Are you guys still in the same rooms we were in, like, 5 years ago?

Yeah, something weird is going on with the audio for my monitor. Dunno exactly what it is but I'll see if I can get it working in the meantime. I might head over in an hour or so but I won't be able to hang out afterwards since there's still unfinished tasks I need to get around to. So I'll probably be out by 8. :X

I'm not sure exactly where to go in uat when I get there... Halp

Oh and my brother is bringing a setup.

We're on the second floor of UAT in the room on the far west side.
