Instead of hoping for someone to run tournaments for games people don't really care about, you need to focus on how you're going to repay me that $7 from a month ago, preferably before this happens to you. :)

I think you may have taken one too many divekicks to the head the last time we played Arcana Heart. You of all people should know that I would run the tournament myself (only to watch no one sign up). As for the $7 that I owe you... I can send it to you by PayPal right now if you really want. :kitty: Or I can pay you the next time we meet (which might be never moohahahahahaha but it'll probably be Saturday).

Fake edit: When did the UNIEL character balls get added? :UNI_EL:

Just so you folks know, there's open casuals tomorrow night at TGZ. I hope to see some of you there for some warm-up matches in prep for Saturday.

I know where you live, so this won't be a problem. :)

Not sure if I'll be at TGZ tomorrow night bit it'll all depend on how late I get out from work.

oh right UNIEL character balls :UNI_LI::UNI_EL::UNI_OR: Aaaand that'll be the first and last time I ever use them. *shrug*

Long post inbound:

Meant to say this earlier, but i've been busy today and I keep getting caught up watching NWM.

I want to come out and say thanks to all those who came out to the Guilty Gear ranbat yesterday. It was a fantastic experience getting to play those of you who were there, and to see some fresh faces. While I didn't meet my expected turnout quota, the high quality of the players who came out was beyond my expectations.

I'd like to see us get better as a community and, had I the space, I would easily open up my house for casuals. Because that can't be, I'd like to issue a challenge to everyone reading this:

If you came out yesterday, come on out again in two weeks for ranbat 2.4. Even if you don't consider yourself the best Guilty Gear player, what good will it do chilling exclusively in practice while having nobody to use what you've learned on?

If you've never played Guilty Gear before, why not come and at least try it out? Think of the entry fee as a rental cost that gives you all day to try the game and see for yourself whether you like it or not. (I'm sure most on here have played it, but just in case someone on here hasn't)

Lastly to those of you who didn't come out at all, I'm not angry, I just hope to see you next ranbat whether to play or just to watch. I understand life happens: people get injured, school is a thing, oversleeping is a pain (i've done it before), but having more people come out would be amazing as it would only up the quality of the players, both new and old.

Anyway, GGs to the folks who made it out. Until next time.  :BED:

GGs man! I wish I had played you more in casuals -- I could use some more Bedman and Leo experience.

This was a really fun tournament, probably the most fun I've had at a tournament in a while. It seemed like every match went down the wire, and there were comebacks everywhere, and without any notable comeback mechanics to speak of (Hellfire doesn't really count as much). And congrats to HF for winning -- you were playing very strong in every set I saw. I guess you don't need Elphelt to win. =P

I've also been really impressed lately with both Nam and Roch. They're both getting really hard to deal with -- Roch gave me trouble this time and the last time I played, and I saw both HF and Kyoku's matches against Nam go down to the wire.

I'd make more of an effort for +R; Xrd is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I think +R is a great game that never got a fair chance, but I'm still enjoying Xrd, and I'm still of the opinion that it's a good game. It does suck to lose your main character though -- I can't guarantee I'd have the same opinion if I couldn't play Sol.

Can't say not having Testament isn't part of it, but most of my issues come from Xrd's RC mechanics; YRC in particular (no surprise there), and 1.1 doesn't even begin to address my issues with it.

Once again a special thanks to Will for generously covering everyone's entry fee for last weekend's ranbat. I had a blast and there were a lot of good matches that went down. GGs to Luke as well. The entire grand finals went back and forth and I'm glad we were able to put on a good show for the viewers.

I don't have any reservations for UAT this month. Are there any days anyone would like me to reserve?

If anyone else is up for it, a Saturday would be nice.

I'd be down for games this Saturday, or any Saturday for the foreseeable future. Just finished the semester this week  :)

You should be able to use room 201 for UAT. I didn't get a reserve but there shouldn't be an issue if you aren't rowdy. I got Room 201 for Keith's tournament next Saturday.
