Time to get more Xrd in with you guys, I got crushed by Boykin and Zinac at evo. Are you guys holding the gatherings at UAT or TGZ these days? Well I guess thats up in the air now after evo.. Anyways if you want to try online meanwhile, add me at Nephtall on PSN.

UAT is the usual place. We have a monthly that goes on but since EVO happened myself and Rath will probably take a break from hosting anything too big. Of course we also occasionally plan smaller casual days if everyone ends up bored and free on the same weekend.

Speaking of the monthly. We could combine Luke and Ruben's ideas and still have a tournament but maybe only run UNIEL and Xrd. This opens up the end of the day for longer casual sets and food that isn't portillos/yc's/in-n-out.

I don't think running only UNIEL and Xrd would change much, since P4AU (and presumably BBCPEX) never took too long due to how small they were. And the other issue is that you would see a repeat of what happened at the last ranbat, where everything finished on time but people were playing casuals until 10 PM, so you were left with the same food situation anyway. It's not necessarily a bad thing, unless you're not a fan of Italian beef.

If we could run xrd and uniel earlier to allow for more casuals after, it would cause problems with attendance. Those two games were later in the day because more people wanted to play them, and that was the time when more people could show up after work and such. If any extra time is opened up for casuals, it should be before, not after.

TGZ is doing their Weekly Wednesday thing again. Come on by for some games or to chill. $3 cover and they close at 9 tonight.

I'll be there and hope to see some of you as well. :)

*Sees Yugioh talk. Really excited to talk about it. Realizes nobody cares about Yugioh. Thinks about something else to say.

"Lol"

Might have to pass on today after all. The ride I was going to use is in the shop for smog emission testing. Dammit. :x

I heard last time someone went, they fell into a Trap Hole and had to get their leg amputated right before EVO.

Wow....Jimmy pls.

I hope you're feeling better as well H-F.

If I could ask you all a quick favor when you have time:

With EVO over, most of us are on cooldown from fighting games for now, or sick, and would rather chill out for a while. However there are some who's fire refuses to go out and have become more motivated than ever. Because of that, I've made a survey just to get a general feel on how people feel toward respective games, tournament planning, etc at this given moment.

I'm sitting on a few ideas, and would just like some community feedback before I start going headfirst into a project that could potentially backfire if not planned properly. Thank you for taking the time to read this and completing the survey if you choose to.  :BED:

Survey: http://goo.gl/forms/IwemQjEPrx
Closes: TBD

Edit: This is primarily meant for AZ folks, but if any other location decides to fill this out, leave where you're from in the comment section. I'd enjoy getting your feedback too!

all we want is to play our anime with no lag (screw you net-play, screw you).

Never expected to get all the responses I've gotten so far from the Survey. Some of this is very insightful and useful for event planning in general. I'm more than willing to share it all with you later, but I'm going to give it some more time to amass since only a few days wouldn't give much to work with.

Again thank you for taking the time to fill this survey out. If you haven't I would hope that you do soon. :)

I'm sure everyone who frequents this thread already responded to it though. :p

I've read some of the previous posts and am a bit confused. I understand that monthlies won't likely be starting up until September, but are there still casuals going on? I'd like to make an effort to improve at BB, P4U, and Uniel, but I've come to the conclusion that netplay sucks :T

I'd be more than down to have casuals at UAT some Saturday. Since I'm going to be modding one of my ps3s most likely soon, I may only have one setup from now on.

I hope the first game you download on it is Oneechanbara Z.

This Friday or Saturday should work for me, I'll let you know later. Maybe we can just play at UAT if there's a room free.

Interest check for Xrd Ranbats at TGZ starting end of September. Time slot would be last time slot so 6-midnight. This means there would be casual stations opened as soon as the tourney is over/getting down to the last few games where we could open up setups for casuals.

I have been out of the loop for a little bit because of a life emergency but I did try to read everything that happened post ranbats and it seems the most common topic was your not getting your bang for your buck when it came to ranbats at TGZ. I would like to say thank you for all that did come out. There were plenty of hype matches. That being said I try to look to improve things and since SFxT will most likely not be at the ranbats any more we legistily can move Xrd (or any Anime game) to either the first or last spot depending on interest.

Again just gauging interest if the vast majority don't want it, it's all good. I know some people like the tourney setting with something on the line rather and that's what ranbats is about. So let me know, anime is always welcome at TGZ.

Piggy-backing on that, it gives people time to finish up whatever classes they have for the day or errands they may have prior. It's a pretty sweet deal to have that last slot for Xrd.

side note. Things looking to improve this season. Working headset audio at every station as well as 2 streams so no split stream time.
