Theupstreamer Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 yukiko changes look dope, but anti air 2b into maragi is still nowhere to be found, but this might make up for it. She can just flat out combo in sb agi from a regular 5b and her c attacks lead into b dancing flame which is really nice.Â
Ryuuka Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRvbPcJblew /cry Also apparently UNIEL currently has more entrants than MvC3 at NEC. #rekt.

Man, that makes me wish I knew how to play Baiken in +R. I can only hope they add her in Xrd. Â UNIEL having more players than MvC3 is something I take as good news -- but I have to wonder how many entrants MvC3 got. Hopefully it's because UNIEL is having a lot of signups and not because MvC3 is having an uncharacteristically weak representation.

The UNIEL and UMvC3 numbers are bit a both, honestly. MB has always done very well at NEC and Summer Jam had about 100 for UNIEL, so UNIEL getting strong numbers isn't too much of a shock. That and UMvC3 is deader than disco.
Chumaralupa Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 Initial reports are leaning towards sticks not working on the xrd demo. I guess it's time to hope that the full version changes things.

I thought this was already known, as they didn't work in the JP demo and I would imagine it's an identical build minus the English text and voiceovers. I suspect it's not in the initial release at all, if only because ArcSys was made aware of their existence at too late of a juncture. The absolute best case scenario here is that support gets added in a day one patch, and frankly I wouldn't expect PS3 sticks to work at all because :arcsys:.
Orrax Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I just heard some of the English dub of Xrd, and, for some characters at least, I was reminded of the original Guilty Gear X promo movie.
Zeromus_X Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 ENG Axl is too good. But I'll probably stick with the JP voices; the nostalgia too strong.
TagAnarchy Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 They aren't that bad. They're actually pretty good, especially Matthew Mercer as Zato. But. Fucking. Venom. I can't stand his eng voice. Hopefully there's a multi language option where I can have some in jp and some in eng. It would be the dream.
LegendaryRath Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 "PS3 version of Xrd will have a quality switch, letting you choose between "image quality" or "performance" modes." Â "No issues at TGS even on the PS3 stations. Players couldn't tell the difference from arcade. Should be fine."

"No issues at TGS even on the PS3 stations. Players couldn't tell the difference from arcade. Should be fine."  This and the game is 10 bucks cheaper on the PS3 according to Gamestop, I guess I'll be getting it for PS3, ya got me ArcSys. Do you know what the details between the "image quality" and "performance" modes are? I'm really curious now.
TagAnarchy Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 From what's been said since the beginning, PS3 Xrd runs at 720p native while PS4 Xrd runs at 1080p native. What i'm assuming is that they're giving the option to switch between these quality settings now. Â My assumption is that 720p = Performance and 1080p = image quality.
Orrax Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Do you know what the details between the "image quality" and "performance" modes are? I'm really curious now. Apparently it just has to do with whether the image is arcade perfect or if there are some things removed from the background:Â http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6375-xrd-news-theoretical-gameplay-discussion/page-466#entry867317. Â I'm guess the perfomance mode might help with some stage issues online (and we already know there are laggy stages in their other games).

I can guarantee you that the PS3 cannot run this game at all in 1080P, if anything 720P will be the "image quality" mode. Removing stage artifacts would probably make a big difference, that's probably why training stage is the only playable stage on ps3 SF4.
LegendaryRath Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Dippy/Tempered are you guys hosting for Uniel this week? I really want to play some sets in that before NEC.
Chumaralupa Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 Depending on how late I'm with family Friday night, I too would like to get a few games in if possible. I might be trying to do too much though.
H-F Blade Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 They only host for DFC now. So you might not see me there. All joking and shit talking aside, I'm not sure if/when they'll be hosting this week. Me personally, I might be tied up on Fri. and/or Sat. But it's ultimately up to them.

Chumaralupa Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 Sure, if you're up for the Deluxe-late hours.
Dipstick Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 I have no problem hosting -- my issue has been more trying to figure out what would be best for people coming, since it seems like everyone's schedule is discomboublated due to the holiday. I also think that Tempered has to work most of the weekend -- I'll ask him what makes sense for him once he wakes up. Â Playing me in UNIEL would probably be a detriment to your performance at NEC, though. D:
kenja0 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Where did this come from and why is it so accurate?
