AcidHairBall Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Capcom will reveal more characters and features at NYCC. I'd bet it's megaman for capcom's side. I'd hope for gambit on marvel's side.
the_d3v Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 One thing I really wanna see is just how goddamn fast X-23 is with X-Factor popped, Karusus & FLoE said that without it she was the fastest in the game and had sick High/Low mixups due to it. She may be on some MSHvSF level Wolverine High/Low shit. I'm pretty sure it was Seth who mentioned that. FloE couldn't have played her since she wasn't in the TGS/Chicago build (he did mention something about Hulk being good, despite folks saying otherwise). Also, preliminary box art is up at the Live Marketplace site. http://iplaywinner.com/news/2010/9/26/first-look-at-marvel-vs-capcom-3-box-art.html Just your usual Shinkiro art. Big Dante in the background is sure to pull in fans who hate the new one in DmC though. Personally hoping we get comic book style variant covers.
Blade Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Just asking this again but...someone said 40 chars are expected or so...but is that even possible by next spring? How many characters did they have in MVC2?
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 *Looks at box art* Needs moar thor.
KayEff Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I didn't know this topic existed, but since I played the MvC at TGS I might as well give my information. (PS if any of this is stuff you guys already know then don't yell at me for it, I just don't feel like looking through 50 pages, most of which are from SRW, to find stuff like that) - MvC3 uses 6 buttons, which are A, B, C, launcher, and two assist buttons. The assist buttons call the corresponding partner to help, yada yada yada. - Apparently you input some sort of fireball motion and assist to switch a person out. I don't really know though since I could not do it for all the times I tried. My brother did, and that's what he said at least, but take this tidbit of information with a grain of salt please. - If a super kills someone it does not stop the KO switch out. This means that when someone uses a super to kill his opponent, the opponent may be able to punish it depending on how the super acts. Dante multi-hit pistols super (I have no idea what it's called but I'm sure you guys can figure it out) suffers from this since the last hit of his super has a large delay. The only way I can think of that prevents this is wasting another bar of super to do a switch out super. I personally hope they change this. - I'm sure you guys know of OTGs from launcher combos but I'll just put it here anyways. I think that's all the info I can give, provided that I don't post again with something that I remember. And before I forget this version is from TGS, which could have been a loketest for all I know.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Woah, woah, woah. A launcher "button?" Now I've seen everything...goodbye little kick button.
KayEff Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Deadpool's launcher is Ryu's DP move, which I thought was cute.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Deadpool's launcher is Ryu's DP move, which I thought was cute. But nothing beats "ANIME POWERUP SHIT!"
Ichipoo Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 i hope that they reveal date masamuneR U REDY GUIZE!?? PUT UR GANZ ON!! Put Date and Sanada and it's an instant pre-order for me.
Akiro Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 THANK YOU back on topic, this game looks really dumb and i am not going to buy it Oh hohoho, I see what you did there. Also, Im starting to think that leaked list is true. Doramamammmu replaced Shuma it seems ;_; , I wanted him back though.
Hawkingbird Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Just asking this again but...someone said 40 chars are expected or so...but is that even possible by next spring? How many characters did they have in MVC2? MvC2 had 56 characters. The game should be ready by Spring. Around April or May should be right A sample of Captain America, Iron Man, Ryu and Chun-li's remix themes. Sound quality is bad so don't expect much from it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7zf2bYvj6s&feature=player_embedded IMO, they all suck

Jet Set Dizzy Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 They have Clover4lyfs on Dustloop too? Dayum,
the_d3v Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 They have Clover4lyfs on Dustloop too? Dayum, Don't mention his name. You might jinx shizz and make him come here.
Hawkingbird Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 The guy who leaked the SSFIV roster and MvC3 development stated that the game will have 40+ characters and game won't have any characters from Sengoku Basara. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=23508824&postcount=42 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=23560276&postcount=95
Heroic_Legacy Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I want this game to come out already. I have much to learn. I'm actually going to take this game seriously.
farranpoison Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Heroic, when this game comes out, you and me man. Gonna have ourselves a beat down.
Hecatom Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 The guy who leaked the SSFIV roster and MvC3 development stated that the game will have 40+ characters and game won't have any characters from Sengoku Basara. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=23508824&postcount=42 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=23560276&postcount=95 now im a Sad Panda, i really wanted Date Masamune on the Game
Hawkingbird Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Makes me a sad panda as well. I think it's a bad idea on Capcom part to not include a Basara character. The series is red hot in Japan and it could possibly spark interest in the West if a character from the series were included.

Not only that, the US release of Sengoku Basara 3, not to mention the anime. Capcom always wastes perfect opportunities.
FormerlyUnknown Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 perhaps they're confident with all the basara they're releasing already. too much of anything at one time is bad for you =p
Hecatom Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Not only that, the US release of Sengoku Basara 3, not to mention the anime. Capcom always wastes perfect opportunities. i bet that they would add Date as a DLC char, at least i hope
Hawkingbird Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 perhaps they're confident with all the basara they're releasing already. too much of anything at one time is bad for you =p That might be true for Japan but not in the US. We haven't gotten anything remotely related to Basara since Devil Kings. Since Westerners have the most interest in MvC3 it's a wasted opportunity like Tsuki Garyuu said. Including a Basara character in the game is the best way to increase the series awareness in the West.

the_d3v Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Meh, would rather have vets like Strider or Magnus then Date. If Magnus is in, his reveal trailer should be just 10 minutes of ROM. P.S. NYCC MvC3 panel is at 7:15 next friday.
