Hawkingbird Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 A trailer with Yun and Yang in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KY7-plLwFTk&feature=player_embedded Yang's Seiei-Enbu combo into Raishin-Mahhaken is awesome
natearistata Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/31493 Yang vs Makoto vid Maybe it's because I've been playing BB too much, but his dive kick looks slow as hell :/
Hecatom Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Isn't that pretty much the stuff Adon wears? I think Sagat should go back to shaving his head. im talking about his faggy haircut, lol
natearistata Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Man, El Fuerte gets all the cool costumes. I like all of his. Only other one I liked there was Fei Long's though.
Aftermath1349 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Was it really necassary to make Dudleys alt look so fucking weird? It's a simple concept and yet they've made him look more like a horse rider than a Victorian gentleman. And that fucking "top hat"... Oh god. Bisons curl and size 20 boots don't look so lame compared to that midget top hat. Guys alt is fucking awesome. And fuck Yun and Yang. Shoto Fighter IV will become Twin Fighter IV come the inevitable console update.
Super Robot War Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 Nice, Yang looking beast in that trailer! That Makoto video, not so much, but the trailer and another gameplay I saw makes him look awesome. And no, don't fuck Yang and Yun, they are awesome.
Aftermath1349 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Did Capcom reuse Gens legs for Yun and Yang? Looks like it. Anyway, I'm going to once again bitch about these two. After watching gameplay videos I just don't get why they were added. It'd be one thing if they were hugely requested but only Yun was and even then Rolento, Q, R. Mika, Elena AND Alex were requested more. Which leads me to my point... Why add two characters that aren't original to the game, playstyle wise, when you have all those other characters (plus Oro) who can actually add to the dynamic of the game? Do they really have no respect for the game they made? Do they want it turned into a dive kick/turtle fest with a few shoto thrown in? At least Hakan is getting the buffs he needed so their can be ONE fucking unique character to play.
AcidHairBall Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 im talking about his faggy haircut, lol It's more like he forgot to get a haircut. Damn hippy.

You do make a point on how there are other characters who either add more dynamic, or were more requested. However, who said Capcom isn't aware of that. I could be wrong, but I've heard a rumor that there will be about 6 new characters. Rumors can be wrong, but lets just say that there will be more characters. If you pay attention to SRK and their news on SF, you know Ono is huge into teasing. Ono hints about it and basically does it to build suspense and hype. Basically, he only just revealed a portion of the new content. Later, he will probably tease about more content coming for the game and eventually reveal the goods. He did this a ton with SSF4 (ie. revealing new characters in portions). But if all we get is Yun and Yang plus some costumes, you're absolutely right. Capcom should have chosen other/more characters for the game.

Yun and Yang are very different, and Yang at least is very dynamic and fitting in the game. Yang is a solid pressure character that even pressures the opponent in the mind, because they have to be aware of all options he has to answer them, which is plenty. As well, that command dash crosses up and goes through projectiles if you time it right, along with his rolling kick going under projectiles, so turtling with projectiles won't be the ultimate answer to all things Yang like it is with some characters. Yun and Yang are both similar and very different at the same time, and to suggest that "only having Yun is fine" or "they should share a slot" just makes you look stupid.

Firstly I did not say that only Yun should be in or that they should share a slot. Second, when did I say that they were the same? You need to get off Yangs dick long enough to not mix up what people have said about them. Since you obviously didn't read my post I'll re-iterate; Yun and Yang are not unique characters IN SSFIV. Look at their movesets and then look at Oro. It's like every post you make is a troll attempt... @Acidhairball Your totally right and in my nerd rage I didn't consider the fact that we may have more characters. With that said my opinion on Y&Y being poor choices still stands.
Hecatom Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 lol, he defends yun and yang, but he bashes x 23

Most of those characters weren't even that good in their respective games. What did they add playstyle wise that is something so unique? I don't consider any of those characters that much more dynamic. And what is wrong with a dive kick/turtle fest? Having a fighting game with rushdown and turtling characters seems kind of normal. Hakan is a grappler just a grappler, the only thing unique is he is garbage when not in oil. Not really mind blowing dynamics.

And you can bitch all you want, Yang and Yun are very different, and each warranting their own appearance. Compare them to Oro? Why Oro? I can play that game too, OMG ORO IS JUST GUILE WITH GOUKEN'S FIREBALLS!!! Doesn't make your thinking right. lol, he defends yun and yang, but he bashes x 23 X-23 is confirmed to be only aesthetically different than Wolverine though. Her supers (1 of which they share), and possibly (doubtfully) her normals are different, but they share ALL the same specials + she has his old dive kick. Yun and Yang, while looking similar, share 3 moves and 1 super, while having different normals, 2 different supers, and as well, 3 different specials, which is far more of a differential than X-23 to Wolverine.

kilabeep3 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 for fuck sake if you guys dont want to use the character just shut the fuck up and grow up! NO ONE IS HOLDING A FUCKING GUN TO YOUR HEAD! so if you dont like em theres a whole lot more characters to choose from! you bitch and complain and its funny cause you guys whine about something that doesn't really matter. you dont like it fine, go play something else. or suck it up! i wanted alex in just cause he was basically abel but with a better looking command throw. oh yeah and lol at fucking ORO cause that juggle loop he has is basically all he has going for him in 3s. damaging loop? yes, but will it be as good in sf4 ? HELL no. guile can keep his old ass out easy. fei long can shut down that shit with U2 and cammy.oro had a boring ass game plan which is turtle build meter ad then try to get the loop. urien would be a better choice cause of his playstyle. his rushdown was godly! and would fit well in ssf4. point is oro might be a good character but in SSF4 he wont transition well whereas yun and yang have a dynamic play style that can be adjusted to certain situations. fuckit no one here gives a shit anyways.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxOjT4Y1rBM SFIV handheld yet again.
Phatsanta Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 who is the mystery man/woman behind the YOGA FLAME? http://www.eventhubs.com/images/2010/nov/01/enchanged-image-dhalsim-blowing-fire-unknown-competitor/ http://www.eventhubs.com/images/2010/nov/01/enhanced-image-dhalsim-blowing-fire-unknown-competitor-2/

AcidHairBall Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I'd also bet it would be yang, The body seems to be standing in yang's pose, if not it might be someone else who would have something sticking out like the guy above posted.
Hawkingbird Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I think it's Yang as well. Has his hair and I can see the bottom part of his shirt. I don't get why people think he's Urien
Phatsanta Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Yeah its definitely Yang. I've been told Elena to Alex, R.Mika to Urien people are just blowing it waaaaay out of proportions its only yang.
furix Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I thought it was just chun-li as proven in the SRK article along with screenshots of SSF4's chunli getting yoga flamed.
M.Song Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 well we know its not a witch cuz witches don't burn
