I could pick one up if needed. Okay we need a single female to double male component splitter. Are we using a Asus monitor though? Because Asus dont have any component inputs, only DVI. So unless you have a converter like Haunts (*COUGH COUGH =w=), then we're going for a minimum lag HDTV. SOMEONE DO A SHACK RUN
Chun Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 I already have my Sony TV with minimal lag via playtests with Dacid, Coopa, and most other people, so I think you can use it as a sufficient setup/component. As I said before, I have Component In, VGA, and HDMI ports. I know nothing about the details required to work with this equipment, but you are guaranteed my TV for stream, so if you're going to pick up a splitter, pick it up. Scott will lag test it but I've played Kelvin recently too and he's had no problems with it. P.S. VGA means VP for the lulz in HD ~Chun
RinHara5aki Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Good. If that many people have approved the TV than thats one less problem. So the only thing now is a component splitter. I'm not gonna have ANY time to pick this up between now and the tournament, I'll either be traveling/working/riding/sleeping. But NOW, we're gonna have to split up commentators. I suggest Dacid stick with me since he's, well, basically BBVlog sponsored lol. Spirit and others can commentate the stream?

He had that DJ mixer where the audio input would combine with the audio output of the game and he would them split THAT into 2 ways. We dont have that technology You can have no commentary for the stream, but I want commentary for my vids. Its what makes TheBBVlog..

You can't possibly Akimbo comm-mics, and I dont know if they'll give each other feedback, even though they are going to separate devices. It just might turn out bad. But yay BBV support ftw :3 I guess we'll just have to figure it out when we get there. But most importantly we NEED that component splitter. Thats first priority.

Do you have an HDPVR, can you find/do you have a component splitter. Can you support HD streaming on this network? Its literally the difference of buying separate single female double male splitters (x5)/component splitter thats like 10 bucks. Or else I just to sit around and stare at the wall because I would've ridden 120 miles carrying 40lbs+ weight around of equipment wasting money on travel and food and time and failing a promise for several thousand people who follow/watch thebbvlog..,

By Tsubasa's reply probably later this evening, I will have finalized plans in terms of access, placement, and general setup areas as well as security settings and management of new people. Hell or high water, this venue is mine, and I'm determined to make it run as smoothly and enjoyable as possible. That should cover basically everything. Only drawback is that I can provide 2 mics, but I haven't gotten a preamp to use the second mic through 1/4", since there's only one XLR on the 502. So unless I can find one in a store, there will be only one mic for commentary.

But just make sure the Radio Shack HAS it, it might be something they "hold" but not "in stock". If you do get it, then that would be awesomesauce. So if you are a go for the splitter, the next problem is commentary. I HAVE to have commentary (Well not HAVE to but REALLY REALLY REALLY want to ), and it would be strange to have two commentaries, as Dacid said before. I think I might bring my mic, and give this a shot, because from what me and Dacid tested at NCI, it wasn't really THAT unidirectional, maybe we can set it up on the side/double podium the mic's (Think american public speech setup). Just an idea. But splitter's first. I'll bring my mic, so that should help at least. We don't HAVE to stream BB if we want to prioritize recording in HD. It's not a big deal. Coopa thinks differently, he suggest stream -> recording, which is upsetting because I've put so much time and effort into getting this ready for everyone.. Well anyways, I'm going to do my usual, I do it this way to be fair for everyone, and I record all elims first, skip the mid-matches and recover, then record top 4.
