Zeromus_X Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 (edited) I noticed there wasn't a Mu mirror thread yet...so this thread is for discussion on the Mu vs Mu matchup. I played a few mirrors with Glirandly a while ago, it seems this matchup is very momentum based. Often whoever got the first knockdown literally rode the momentum to victory. Although Mu's oki is monstrous, it seems she can't really handle it herself. If you get under pressure, don't neglect DP + Rapid, Counter Assault, IB DP, or even bursting if you have to, it can be very hard to escape once the other Mu gets in. Know the holes in her pressure (6C/Sword of Decimation up close or steins in blockstrings are no-nos), and use safe pressure yourself with 2A/B staggering or Rapid Cancelling to continue pressure off unsafe moves. Summoning anything other than fullscreen away is risky; asking for a 5C, 6C (Fatal!) or jC/2C to the face if you just go about summoning steins carefree. Most of the match will probably be spent poking and spacing before anything truly gets setup. Edited May 10, 2011 by Aginor
NickExtreme1 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Not sure if it's been posted, but I played around in training yesterday and came across something weird. If you're playing Mu against Mu, RCing after an air throw ALWAYS put you on the right and the opposing Mu on the left, regardless of which way you were facing originally. Just thought I'd throw that out there for getting down air throw > RC > whatever combos on opposing Mus. Something important that should be noted.
Overheat Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Does that still hold true? IIRC, it was fixed in 1.03. At least when I tried when 1.03 came out, it had changed back to staying on the same side (Lambda throwing Mu). No idea if there's a difference, so maybe someone can confirm this.

X-Bros don't have 1.03 (heck, not even 1.02) yet. :/ And testing would be nice, thanks.
Overheat Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I can confirm that Lambda air-throwing Mu now stays on the same side after an RC. I'd have to assume that they fixed Mu air-throwing Mu as well. I can't test this, so someone else will have to...
Grey Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I think they fixed it because it doesn't happen for me.
Ryujinflame Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Well that's good to know. I guess those of us XBox players still in 1.01 land though are stuck with it for now.
