Blade Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 A good Paradigm is sooo difficult to fight And especially first class-paradigms is just...too much, they evenvcan be incredibily annoying in vs master combat :V Still, I think it's one of this charachter that anyone should learn to use, since, at least in the beginning, forces you to improve game basic strategy. As you notice, chasing the doc with Sol is a "nice" strategy. I remember a good player during a stream (can't remember who, maybe Guilty Blood but I'm not sure) ranting while using the doc against Sol after a lose that "GG2 is not a fighting game! If you want to play a Fighting game you should quit gg2 and play something else!". You can imagine how the fight was, Sol chasing the doc ALL the time and winning just for the Critical Down. I see also Kimera bugged by this but, as he stated, he uses the Doc just for fun/learning (as for me, i somehow quitted the game. No EU player bug me the most, if the JP or US joins is mostly for an act of pity, 250 lag is usually unplayable :V) DATS WUT I CALL RUSHDOWN! lol just kidding.

Don't mistake me for a hardcore GG2 expert through, I mostly just play things for fun, not to win. But I'd love to try some online matches with people here anyway. But...But...winning is fun! As well as it is losing after a tense match and learning something! Anyway I'll add you tomorrow, we'll may have some matches ^^

GG2 is still my favourite game, even if I feel like I'm I'm a sort of highlander... a scrubby one, thou :x So, since western player have no intention to learn the basics of the game, I've finally made a recording setup and started to do video guide! I've started with the most familiar one for FG players: basic combo guides. For now Sol (bad quality, first try), Valentine and Raven, more to come It's nothing advanced or difficult, just the more easy, basic and common combo and guard crush setup you can learn. those are not charcter guides, so setups, how the play it and all the rest is not covered. Fenrir Werwolf Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I noticed that the more I play only against westerner that do not understand/get better at the game, the more worst I become due to a serie of factors like 1 )lag )random strings and button mashing )no tactical gameplay at all, 0% ghost control. I can't get better at all, I'm stick in a sort of "beginner" level forever, While the japanese, of course, get more and more better. I should probably quit the game at all once and for all, the only decent match I had in two years and 458 plays are like less than 20 I'll probably just finish the video guides and quit #endrant

The game is great, and I had some good folks to play against when I did play online, but I've got other things to focus on. I'd rather play GG2 over GGX, but AC is always my go to game. I don't think they're on Dustloop, but if you're looking for some good US GG2 players, search for Lorsavasus and FireBookDuo. Those two are, I believe, both still actively playing and they seem to draw a small gathering of other skilled players.

Fenrir Werwolf Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) Seems there is a strange bug that allows you to return in the masterghost immediately in Illirya even if you are on the opposide side of the map As you can see on this video (from Guilty Blood channel, subscribe plz, he uploads video mostly every day) Around 6:45 he jumps on the right bridge (even if it is outside the map), and after checking the organ the game brings him back on his MG I think it is done to prevent glitches and getting stuck in walls, but in the end seems quite useful Maybe is an old news, just wanted to share For the rest, I'm having problem in doing the Ky and Sin material. For some reason, while converting the DVD file to mpeg the audio delays around 6 second, making the video unusable. I'm not sure how good I am currently, since I haven't played for so long, but I was pretty decent at this game when I played it. If any of you guys newer to this thread want to add me, feel free. I feel as though I've always been one of the most active english-speaking players and due to that, I'm really not half bad. Back in the day I was competing with the top JP players and could hold my own pretty well(Honestly not trying to boast or anything here). I'm no Kimera Cryin, but we've had some fun matches(including some I've won ;D). I'm pretty busy with school right now, but if I'm on, then I'm totally down for some games if any of you want to add me.

I own Overture, but haven't spent much time with it because I suck at strategy games. I'd be interested in playing with someone online if they want to try and teach me.
